'Inarizaki High Volleyball Team Manager Form'

"WHAT" You exclaimed. "Why would they think that I would ever want to be apart of the team that embarrassed and made fun of me!?!"

"Honey I know, but this could be a great new learning experiencing for you! If you ever want to manage the company, then you'll have to learn some new managing skills." Your mother stated calmly.

You stared back at your mother blankly.

"Isn't there any other opportunities I could do instead?"

"Think about it this way. The Inarizaki Boy's volleyball team is famous in Japan. They have one of the best high school setters in all of Japan." Your mother stated.

You stayed silent.

Your mother stood up and said, "Well, promise me that you'll at least think about it".

"Fine." You gave in. You and mother were two of a kind. Neither would give into submission, and you didn't feel like having a long drawn out conversation.

"The doctor said that you would be fine after some rest, so I'm heading back to Tokyo. Your father and I have a business meeting in the morning, but you make sure you take care of yourself." She paced towards the door and turned to you. "Make sure you get that form in soon. I don't want to have to force you to do it."

She gave you a smirk and walked out of the room.

After the annoying chat with your mother, you were discharged from the hospital. The train was the fastest way home, so you made your way to the station. You scanned your card and boarded the train. Then, you pulled out your phone and saw the date - 11:11 on a Monday.

"School starts tomorrow" you thought to yourself. "I must have been unconscious for a long time."

You scrolled through your phone for a while to check up on all of your social medias.

"Shoot, I forgot to do my streaks yesterday!" You cursed to yourself as you checked your snapchat, hoping that you didn't lose any. They were all fine, but you had timers with a few people.

"I better send them now before time runs out." You thought as you swiped to the camera. You pointed your phone to the opposite side if the train, but through the lens you saw someone staring at you.

A man with curly black hair and a medical face mask was giving you a concerned look through slitted eyes.

"You know, you don't have to wear a face mask. The pandemic has been over for a while." You stated blankly.

The man scoffed loudly and continued to stare in your direction.

"I'm sorry, can I help you?" You asked, annoyed with the stranger.

"That hospital bracelet...you're not sick are you?" He remarked snidely.

"Thank you for your concern, but my visit was due to a combination of food poisoning and getting smacked in the stomach by a volleyball." You replied, even more annoyed.

"Oh, well if you were sick or something then I would ask that you leave the train so that you wouldn't infect me." The stranger muttered.

You smacked your hand on your leg, which caused the stranger to jump.

"Are you kidding me? Why does everyone in this area only care about themselves!? I'm injured and the only thing you care about is whether or not I'll infect you!? What's wrong with you!?" You hollered at the man.

"...Well, actually I'm not really from this area...I was just visiting a friend..." The stranger replied hesitantly.

"Well sorry for the misconception." You sighed as you leaned back into your seat. This guy was really not pleasant to talk to.

"...So who hit you with the volleyball?" The stranger asked hesitantly. "Just please don't yell this time. I don't want to get covered in saliva again."

With a deep sigh, you answered calmly, "Well if you must know, it was some jerk from the Inarizaki Volleyball Club."

"What did they look like?" The stranger asked with a lighter tone. Somehow, his mood was improving as you talked about the jerk.

"He was a tall guy with a blond undercut. Whoever dyed his hair clearly needs more practice" You remarked as rolled your eyes.

Before you could go on describing the jerk, you heard a chuckle from the stranger. You looked over to see him silently shaking with laughter.

"I'm sorry, but why is this funny to you?" You asked blankly.

"I-it's n-nothing" he struggled through chuckles. "Do you mind if I take your picture?"

"What? Why do you-" You tried to get an answer, but were stopped by the stranger's camera flash. He typed something on his phone and stood up.

"Well, this is my stop. Thanks for the chat." He gave you a small waved as he walked out of the door.

"...What just happened?"
