Genevieve stirred in her sleep, feeling the weight of a arm around her waist.

Shifting to her side she saw Thomas  sleeping peacefully. For once.
She noted every time he tried to sleep he didn't really get much. He was always in the middle of a nightmare, somewhere in the tunnels.

She lifted herself up from his reach and out of bed, placing her favorite night jacket on herself and went to check on their son.

After seeing that Alexander was okay and was well asleep, Genevieve made coffee and started making breakfast.

"Y'know, just the one time I'd love to wake up with you in my arms." She heard from behind her. She smiled, Genevieve was used to his random pop ups while she was cooking.

"I figured I'd let you wake up with the same hope I woke up with while you were away, Thomas."

"Which was?" He spoke, wrapping his arms around her waist and his bare chest touching her back.

"That you would wake up and realize that it wasn't a dream and you really are home" she smiled and kissed his cheek.

As her day went about and Tommy went to where ever, Genevieve thought it was a great idea to get ready for the occasional shift at The Garrison.

Looking in the mirror and deciding that her black skirt and white button up wasn't enough. She carefully did her makeup, and brushed her perfectly straight blonde hair in a wonderful style. Being satisfied then she got together Alexander's things and dropped him off at Aunt Polly's, and walking to The Garrison.

Once she was there, she walked in on Harry speaking with a beautiful blonde woman.

"I'm not asking for a chance, I'm asking for employment!" The girl spoke. Genevieve noticed a hint of Irish in her voice and made a mental note to keep a weather eye on that one. She had a feeling that the girl was trouble.

"You're too...nice." Harry went about and Genevieve couldn't help but chuckle, earning a glare from the two speaking. She looked up from behind the bar.

"What's your name love?" Genevieve asked, trying to atleast give her a chance.

"Grace. Grace Burgess." The girl held her head high and her hand out.

"Genevieve. Genevieve Shelby. Harry says too nice to every woman worth anything that wants a job here.. can you serve drinks?" She asked, getting the barstools down.

"Yes" Grace replied.

"Can you handle drunken bastards and unsightly things that come in a bar?" Genevieve asked.

"I do suppose so" Grace replied and Genevieve smiled.

"Harry, looks like you got yourself another bar maid!" Genevieve smiled, and Grace knodded curtly at her.

Trouble indeed.
