Stepping right on the other side of the main building's gate, I see gardeners tending the wide maze-like garden while clipping excess flowers. Alfred glancing frivolously side by side from what looks like a subtle anxiety. It is quite fretful to come here since I was prohibited to many things but leaving worries aside, me and Albert straightly went to the budgeting hall. Just right outside the door bribing people specifically the guards. All in all, I had spent 1 gold coin.

The smell of paper and ink with book shelves almost everywhere. If described, it was a very comfy place for me. I went on and made my introduction just to see alerted faces. I asked a person beside me with a righteous voice.

"May I see sir Frederick privately please"

"yes, my lady"

Leading me into a room where the smell of ink was stronger, stood before me was a tall man maybe in his late 20's, wearing a brown suit which matched his slicked back ocher hair. From the time I was in my teen's I had been thought of high society. If anything, else noble pride was much more important than a commoner's life, for a metaphor. This man certainly carries pride honestly, I'd probably be shivering if I was really of this age. Frederick took a small kowtow tilting his head forward. I would really prefer to move right into topic.

Without hesitation and dilly dally I went and smiled sitting on the velvet sofa. It was as if the atmosphere changed as I looked up into the man Frederick's sullen and tired eyes.

Oh, the stress, really...

"sir Frederick of Baron Heil's may I have a very bold conversation with you?"

Sir Frederick looked very dubious; I could definitely see that I was fiddly to handle with.

"then... please do my lady"

Starting with the conversation, I had gone in and asked the sir if he was well. Though it was very awkward for him. While Alfred stood beside the sofa, we had discussed a certain topic not bringing up the west annex. Its purpose was to lower sir Frederick's guard. A few minutes of looking a bit relaxed I jumped into the main topic.

"so, sir Frederick about the west annex, it was reported to me that no finance was going into the house"

"hm? ah! yes, perhaps are you my lady asking about where the budget is?"

"exactly"

"well, if it's that then you needn't worry it is safe and sound"

Weird... It seems that even in his lowered guard he still thinks and talks with caution. Is he not afraid of what could possibly happen to him or...?

"my lady do you think people would actually believe you if you'd say you had no finance? For an unsophisticated lady that is"

Sir Frederick had become laughable of me, I was perplexed since he's publicly announcing his preposterous. It seems that everyone in this Dukedom was at least corrupt. I suddenly remembered the cold feeling of standing in the middle of a crowd, a soaked dress from wine and people's gazes with a grim aura. I had asked myself at that time... why was I notorious when they themselves had a crass attitude.

Alfred who was beside me had his palms clench into a ball. To think that those who are neglected would have virtue.

"sir Frederick I think you are misunderstanding something; I am here to make you the next Baron"

"hm? how could my lady do so"

"you have a family, right? and your just being controlled by Baron Neil I know you'd be smart enough to figure out... Baron Neil could throw you any time"

Very tempting this offer was, I knew that sir Frederick was a good person. Just by looking at him he had been working hard. For a lady that lived through so much I could at least tell.

"my lady... how do you know about my family and how do you intend to make me the next Baron"

"I can satisfy your question's when you have rethought my offer. Of course, I will give you enough time to do so but with a compensation. Give me at least an amount to repair the west annex"

"certainly, if I was your normal servant I would do so with haste but why should I, I haven't even accepted your offer"

"then die"

"what?!"

He was utterly shocked. I genuinely remarked a word of taboo for some but what else were my choice. Certainly, I meant for him to die, he did not only insult me the duke's daughter but the duke himself. He dare's underestimate the duke by assuming he had a phony justice wavering in fact. The palace itself is insulted too, even though father may be a double edge sword to the King he is still a prince and with royal blood.

"sir Frederick do you not understand you are insulting a duke's daughter? you dare taint my name killing my pride. You are worthy of death!"

What a great influence was my past. It was very hard to keep a face since I was not used to spouting spiteful words. Then again, I was looking at the sir with brimming ruby eyes as if lusting for blood shed.

"then I shall give you 2 days to think about it please do not forget the compensation my dear responsible baron"

I walked outside the room very much feeling a smug look on Alfred's face while following behind me. Though... I couldn't hold any longer! my legs hurt so much.

"A- Alfred..."

"yes, my lady?"

"can you carry me...?"

"ah why yes my lady!"

One thing inefficient about being young is the whole-body structure that needs development, indeed.
