Elijah's POV
It was the next day since the whole fiasco with Christopher. He finally settled in, I'm not sure why he felt so uncomfortable though. It's whatever. As long as I don't see him during the day I am fine with that.I'd look at my flip phone time, it was almost 7:49 am. I had to get to my morning class by 8:30 am, groaning, I finally got up, noticing Christopher is still asleep. I'd snicker and walk to the bathroom and shut the door quietly avoiding waking him up so I don't have to deal with him.
I'd do my regular morning routine, taking a shower, brushing my teeth, cleansing my face, you know, the basic needs. I put on my outfit for the day, walking out of the bathroom and grabbing my tote bag which had all my regular stuff, then got the materials I needed for that class. Communications.
I was excited about this class. I wanted to improve my communication skills so I can not be as awkward and unsociable in public. Journalism was always my goal. And with this fresh start, I feel like I can achieve that goal. New start.
I walked out of the dorm and headed to the class, it was almost 15 minutes away from where I was, but I was about to make it to 10. I will and am going to make a great first impression.
I finally got there and actually got there in 9 minutes.
"Yes!" I said to myself, panting. Yeah, that was a rush but I was able to get to the building. Now all I have to do is find the class.
I walked around the first floor looking, not being able to find it. I turned the corner and bumped into a girl, her stuff falling. Not my fault she didn't bring a bag. Yeah, actually it was my fault. Sorry.
"Sorry, uh.." I blurted out and bent down to help her grab her books. Wincing in pain from my shoulder where we ran into each other.
"Please! It's no worry. I apologize for not looking where I am going..." She went on, "Sorry, sorry for saying sorry again. Ugh, here I go again.." As again went on,
"Please don't apologize! It was my fault," Blushing and sending her a light smile. I choked out, "My name's Elijah by the way."
A smile crept up onto her face, "My name is Katherine, you can call me Kat if you want," she smiled again, slightly chuckling. I smiled back, she seemed fairly nice.
We talked for a few minutes before I took out my phone to check the time, 8:40 am. "Shit," I muttered under my breath.
"What's wrong?" she asked playfully, "I have to get to the communications class, would you mind helping me get there? I am new to this school." I said in a fairly nice but awkward tone, I felt bad. I don't wanna make a bad impression on her. Maybe she could be my new friend or something.
She smiled ear to ear, "Oh my gosh! We are in the same class, let's go together!" she said in a playful tone.
I became less tense and smiled, "Yay! Thank you. I really owe you one. Sorry for bumping into you earlier by the way.." As we walked in the direction I assumed to the stairs.
I could tell she was thinking after I said that, a few moments later she blurted, "Since you're new here, treat me out to coffee in the town! I can tell you the cafe, just meet me there!" She smiled once again, I love her smile. It was comforting.
