Elijah's POV
I gulped, everything felt like it was moving in slow motion. A wave of emotions hit me all of a sudden, I knew I was pale in the face.

Nathaniel sauntered over, him scowling at me with a tensed-up face, "Let's chat," He said in a low tone. I can't believe Nathaniel is here. Why is he here? How did he find me? How would he come here? What's to talk about?

I came back to reality and clenched my jaw and bit my lip and walked over to the table he motioned me to. I felt Katherine's glare at me, but I couldn't get myself to look back over to her. I had to find out why Nathaniel was here.

"Why are you here? How did you find me? Why are you here?" I let out stuttering and repeating my words. I was definitely to the point where I didn't know how to feel things. Fuck.

"He's looking for you again," Nathaniel letting out, in a stern attitude. My eyes widened, "He can't find me, Nathaniel. Why are you here?" I blurted out after gathering my thoughts.

"I just said why I am here, Elijah." It took me a few seconds to realize he just told me, but I was too shocked at what is going on.

"Nathaniel, I don't know-" He cut me off, then started to speak before I cut him off, "Nathaniel," I raised my voice just a little louder, "You need to leave. Thanks for warning me or whatever, but you need to go. I don't want him to know that I am here." I said, equaling his attitude. Not anymore, I won't let this happen again.

His jaw slacked, quickly changing back to his usual expression, "Whatever, Elijah. Don't make me regret saving your ass the last time. I'm only trying to help," As he slammed his hand down, getting back up and looking at me with fiery eyes.

I gulped, looking at him as he walked out, and then at that very moment, Christopher walked in as he walked out.

I noticed Nathaniel got into this nice sports car, I assumed he bought it for all his friends. Especially the ones looking for me that night. Without a doubt, I heard the car whisk away.

He never got me nice things. Never. Treated me like shit, and now, we are in this predicament. Fuck.

Coming back to my senses, I looked away from the door and coming back to my senses, I shakily grabbed my coffee cup and drank my fears away. I guess that didn't work.

My eyes started to become blurry and I felt tears rushing down my face. I whimpered, "Why the fuck is this happening to me, again?" I sighed with a whisper.

Katherine hurried over, I could tell by her sudden movements. I didn't want to explain to her my whole back story, but soon I'll have to if I want us to keep being friends. I don't want myself to be one big liar and mysterious person.

She patted my back, "Eli, it's okay, it's okay." She said in a sad tone. I knew she cared for me, and I'm grateful for that.

We soon got back up, Katherine heading to the cash register to I assume serve Christopher, and I went into the back room. My eyes burned from all the tears I kept producing. I quite literally was crying a whole river, well maybe just a rain puddle, but that's beside the point.

A few moments later, Kat, my lord, and savior, brought back my favorite combination of a Frappe & Espresso.

I sighed, "Thank you, Katherine, it means a lot." I glanced back down at my shirt, it was all damp from the tears I had just let out.
