Iwaizumi pov

Today was a great day. It was the first day of the regatta, I waited for a long time now. We sailed three rounds and would sail the two others tomorrow. In the overall rating, I reached 2nd place. It was a head-to-head race with the 1st place. They were the fastest in the first round while I was the fastest in the second one. If there wasn't this one catamaran in front of me, I'd probably reach the target line first. We had a bearing and due to me being leeward I had to dodge, which cost me some time. That gave the boats behind me time to pass me and  I only got 4th place which was really frustrating. Still, my time was the most important and this was better than the time of the 1st place, if you don't look at my last time. But at the end of the regatta, only the top 4 times were counted so it would be fine as long as I'm better in the last two matches.

I sighed. The day was exhausting and it was pretty windy. The wind force was 4 with gusts with a strength of 6. Tomorrow it probably would be even windier. That would make it more fun but would also raise the chance of capsizing. I probably shouldn't jibe and make a Q-turn instead. It would take more time but I couldn't risk capsizing.

At home, I went straight to my bed and laid down. I needed my sleep to make the best out of tomorrow. Still, I silently trained some knots. By now, I knew them by heart but I wanted to perfect it. I needed to be able to do them everywhere under any kind of pressure. Otherwise, I wouldn't be able to sail properly.

I did that until I finally drifted off to sleep, dropping the rope on the ground.
