Oikawa pov:
Today or rather tonight, I didn't want to swim nor sail. Don't get me wrong, I really enjoyed both but it was all we did over the last weeks and I didn't want to do the same thing every night. So today, I decided to discover the place with Iwa. I was sure he wouldn't have anything against it. He was pretty open to everything so convincing him wouldn't be much of a problem.
Just as expected, I could easily convince Iwa to come to explore the place with me. First, we walked over to the field with the berries and picked a few just because we could. We then walked a bit in the opposite direction of the lake where we found a small forest. There, we just walked around. It was really beautiful and at some point, Iwa grabbed my hand. It wasn't weird though, it felt almost as if his hand belonged in mine. When I looked at him, I saw him blushing a little.
I didn't think much of it though, it wasn't like he was into me or something like this. And even if, long-distance relationships were doomed to fail. I wasn't even sure if I liked him in that way. Maybe I would someday but right now, I didn't know him enough to do so. But how I knew Iwa, he wouldn't confess to me until he was completely sure of his feelings and knew that there was a decent chance of me liking him back. I knew that no matter what happened between us, he would always be there for me and give me as much time as I needed. And that's why I loved him, as a friend for now.
"You know, I'm actually pretty excited. The school year is about to end for me. I have four weeks left and we don't really do anything anymore so it's really chill right now," Iwa stated. "No way, I have 8 more weeks to go. Why do you have holidays before me?" I asked. "Because we live in different states," Iwa answered. "Yeah, yeah, I know. Oh wait, I have an idea. On what day do the holidays start for you?" I asked. "I think it's the 24th of June," he replied. "Oh my god, I found a loophole. I now know that you live in Brandenburg or Berlin. And because you said that you live in a relatively big city, you should live in Berlin or Potsdam," I concluded. "You are correct. Wait, when do your holidays start and how do you even know?" he asked. "For me, it starts on the 22nd of July and I know because I looked up the holidays recently because I was bored," I replied. The second part was a lie, I knew it because we were moving to Berlin soon but I didn't want to tell Iwa just yet. I didn't know why, I just didn't.
For the rest of the night, we walked around the forest, holding hands and talking about random stuff. At one point we found a clearing where we laid down in the grass and looked at the clouds above us. I could do this all night.
