"guess what?"

"oh god, what did you do this time?" Courtney said with a laugh.

"i got myself a date tonight!"

"wait, really? with who? is it Jack?" she was almost more excited than me.

"yeah. he's picking me up at 6:00 tonight for dinner. i'm hoping it will help get Matt off my mind and focus on some new memories."

"that's the spirit! but are you sure you're ready to date again? i don't want you getting hurt, (y/n)."

i pondered on what she said and then responded, "trust me, Court. i'll be alright."

"okay." she smiled at me before continuing, "well, we are filming a try not to laugh this morning and then meeting with the writers for some sketch ideas. then we can all go out to lunch, and, finally, don't tell anyone this, but i think Ian and Anthony are going to announce the summer games theme."

i had completely forgotten about summer games. my eyes lit up and i gave Courtney a wide smile, "cool! so, should we get going to the set to film the try not to laugh?"

"yeah, let's go."

together, we made our way to the Smosh Pit set, picking up Olivia and Noah on the way.

when we arrived, we saw Keith, Jackie, Damien, Amanda, Chanse, Kimmy, and Shayne.

"hey guys!" i said as we walked in.

"hey, (n/n), you seem chipper today," said Damien, walking up to hug me.

"they have a date tonight," Courtney squealed before i could say anything.

"wait, really? with who? you have to tell us everything," Olivia, Jackie, Kimmy, and Amanda were all talking over each other as they crowded around me.

"woah, woah, woah, calm down!" i laughed. "you know the writing intern, Jack?" i said with a shy smile.

"i knew it! you guys are always flirting!" Olivia said.

"no, we're not! we're just friends."

"well, not anymore," Jackie winked at me and nudged my side with her elbow.

"whatever, guys. let's film!" i pushed my way through the girls and saw the guys talking. well, all except Shayne. he was just looking at us.

at me.

oh no, he probably thinks i'm unprofessional for going on a date with a coworker. will i ever gain his approval?

i realized i had been staring and i guess he did too because we both looked down and walked in opposite directions.

soon enough, we started filming.

"hey, everybody! welcome back to try not to laugh!" i stood in front of everyone else because they had let me do the intro.

"and this time, we're doing duos," Keith holds up two fingers.
