Chapter 10 - Double The Trouble

A little time had passed, the league was back at the lair by now. They had let Bakugou out of the little ball made by Mr Compress but tying him up on his chair was a lot harder than anticipated. Eventually they succeeded. Izuku looked at his old friend being held captive, did he really feel sorry for him? no, not a single bit.

"Everyone makes a mistake or two. Are they supposed to be perfect?"

Shigaraki looked around the room.

"Modern-day heroes are so uptight. Don't you think so, Bakugou?..." He said as he finally turned his attention to the boy.

"The society that sticks tight to those rules... The citizens who blame the losers rather than encourage them..."

Izuku was trying not to smirk, having Bakugou captive.... He knew that Shigaraki was trying to recruit him, but as long as he was tied up there... Izuku felt like the bastard got what he deserved.

"Our fight is to question:..." Shigaraki continued "What is a hero? What is justice?..."

At this point everyone was looking at the boy.

"We're planning on winning... You like winning too,.... right?"

"Dabi release his restraints."

"Huh? this guy's gonna fight, you know..."

"It's fine. we need to treat him like an equal, since we're scouting him." Right as he said that he turned his attention to Bakugou again. "Besides, you can tell if you'll win or not in this situation, right, UA student?."

Dabi just kinda shrugged and looked beside him, "Twice, you do it"

"What? Me? No way!"

"Do it"

At this point Izuku hadn't been listening anymore for quite a while, though he did hear Mr Compress apologizing for using 'such forceful methods'; whatever that means. He saw Bakugou being untied and staying calm though he didn't think it would last for that long considering Bakugou's nature, and he was right. After letting Shigaraki do a bit of his talking atsuki pushed twice away and blasted an explosion in Tomura's face. Izuku did enjoy that part. After this Bakugou started talking about how he listened quietly and how idiots always talk too much. Izuku thought this was ironic and chuckled since Katsuki was essentially giving a speech about how giving a speech is idiotic. Of course the whole ordeal did worry him: they had kidnapped a star student from U.A., no doubt the pros would show up soon. Izuku had tried bringing this up but he didn't feel like he was being taken seriously, the only one who listened was Toga. Gosh... Toga... He felt weird about this whole ordeal. He knew he felt weird around Ochako, possibly having a crush on her, but he started feeling things around Toga lately as well... He can't possibly have a crush on her, she's batshit crazy! Besides, they're just friends. He saw someone open the door from the corner of his eye, they we're talking about pizza? Izuku wished he had snapped out of this mind set earlier cuz as it turns out, it were the pros. Before he knew it he was 'running' away dragged by Toga while there was a fight going and Bakugou was escaping with, who seemed looked like, Kirishima, Yaoyorozu and Iida.

After a long while of running the two just fell onto the ground, both out of breath. They ran as far away from the city as they could and ended up in a forest. Both were trying to catch their breath as soon as possible. "You think they..." Izuku coughed a little in between words. "You think they got out?"

Toga got up. "I'm.... I'm not sure."

And so it was just the two of them. 'Stop' Izuku thought. "She's my friend I do NOT want to feel like this!"

"Izuku are you okay?"

He tensed up, his voice shot up too. "I'm- I'M OKAY!"

"You better be! I don't wanna get caught now y'know!" She bumped him on the shoulder.

It was weird but in that moment Midoriya felt kind of... disappointed.. He looked at Toga again and before he knew it... He kissed her. It wasn't much, just a little peck on the lips. Not to mention they both backed off as soon as possible.

"I- uh I'm so- I'm so sorry"

"It's- it's no big deal... should we just forget this happened and.. keep going?"

"Great idea."

And so the two started to run again, they couldn't risk being too close but they knew where to go incase they ever had to abandon the lair. Though, Izuku's mind was racing, he knew he liked Ochako but ended up kissing Toga... What was he thinking?!

'What... was I.... thinking?..."
