Izuku was startled. One second he was hostage, the next the heroes were busting through to save him. Did he come back by choice? "No..." Izuku thought. "This isn't even the regular place... He couldn't have found it on his own...." And so Izuku's thought train went on, all kinds of thoughts crossed his head: Did he seek someone from the league? Did he follow them? He was with his friends, how did get away?... Soon he heard someone (probably Dabi) clearing their throat, making an 'ahem' sound, this is when Izuku realised he had been mumbling. Crap, he was staring... What to say.... "I don't need help, Katsuki..." He didn't even look at the guy. "I'm just.. I chose this.... and I'm not leaving." Deku didn't look at Bakugou, but he imagined the guy looked somewhat pissed.
"What about Class A?"
This is what made Deku look up to face the guy, where did this come from? Why would he care? Bakugou seemed to hold his usual somewhat-pissed-off face, except he was averting his eyes. "...what about them?..."
"Weren't you friends with them?..."
Izuku smiled, then chuckled... Friends?.... He couldn't believe it, the guy could lose his life there and then yet it looked like he tried to make a villain laugh. Pathetic.
Those friendships in UA were nice, or rather would have been if they weren't fake.
Yeah.... fake... It was weird, in a way it was almost like Izuku actually missed them. He thought he was sure about his feelings for Ochako, or so he thought, he liked the girl but had kissed Toga too. Iida was... nice? Honestly he was way too uptight, but he was supposingly somewhat fun to be around... Todoroki was a pitiful bastard. Barely ever talked but when the sports festival was announced he suddenly unloaded all of his trauma onto Midoriya out of nowhere. Kaminari was a total idiot, Mineta was a straight up pervert. Izuku could go on forever, but didn't. He was just... conflicted...
'Go.'
Everyone just stared at him, Dabu broke the silence.
'The hell do you mean by that?!'
Deku just looked up and looked Bakugou straight in the eyes.
'You still got a future don't you? Get the hell out of here and get stronger... then... then we'll have a real fight.'
Letting the hostage go? Shigaraki was not going to like that. Izuku didn't care too much, as long as Katsuki wouldn't tell anything to the authorities. He just walked back, fell onto the couch and swinged his feet up to the table in front of him. He was mainly thinking about his old 'friends' and his relationships in the league, but in the back of his mind he kept thinking about his mother. Bakugou had left by now and Dabi looked fucking pissed, Izuku couldn't care less. He looked at the pizza in front him and took a slice before it got too cold, it's not like he intended on sharing. That's when Toga walked in, and the first thing she did was run up to Izuku.
'Dangit Izuku-kun why did you take another route? It's not like we were supposed to leave each other!'
Izuku just looked up to her with a straight face and said. 'Pizza.'
'Can I have some?'
'Sure'
Spinner looked awfully offended. Izuku could guess why, he was probably thinking something along the lines of: 'OF COURSE the pretty girl gets some' or 'Izuku you fucking bastard'. As a matter of fact he was probably thinking both.
'Eh, where's explosion boy?' Toga asked.
'We had recaptured him,' Dabi said, glaring at Izuku, 'but the pretty boy over there let him go.'
Izuku shrugged it off again, he was pretty used to Dabi's comments by now. There was just one question in the back of his head, what now?
Katsuki didn't have anything useful on UA and they can't just start a nomu attack out of nowhere. Things could get quite tricky from here. Crap, all of a sudden letting Bakugou go didn't seem like the best decision after all. Izuku couldn't exactly do anything as the only option they had was to wait for Shigaraki and hope his 'master'
has a plan they can follow. And so he waited... with those thoughts from earlier lingering in the back of his head.
Approximately 2 and a half hours later
'Really nothing seems to be working out huh?'
Shigaraki had returned and the league had been thinking about their next strike, but so far nothing. Toga stretched her arms and let out a groan.
'Ugh, if only we could send Deku-Kun back to UA, things would be so much easier!'
Izuku looked at Toga, 'In theory I could. I could make up a story about manipulation and force; tell them my morals changed. But that wouldn't stop them from keeping an extra eye on me, if anything things would be harder.'
'But still! At least we'd have eyes where we need 'em.'
And so the conversation continued, though somehow the topic of Midoriya going undercover kept coming back. Some thought it was a decent idea, others thought it wouldn't work again. That's when Midoriya remembered a little something from when he went to steal information from ua.
"Are you really sure about this? starting the sports festival now sounds like one of the biggest risks to take at the moment... I think we should've called it off when we still had the chance..."
"Nonsense Shouta! If anything it'll boost morale!..... And hopefully young Midoriya will return..."
Did he really have something to use against AllMight? The number one hero himself?
'Hopefully young Midoriya will return...'

Maybe he did.....
