I left the next morning early so I could say goodbye. The limo passed the street I was walking on and I started to sprint. I reached the castle before the limo arrived and looked up. Carlos came out and slung an arm around me.

"I really, really don't want to go," Carlos shook his head.

"I know. But whatever you decide to do, I will understand," I stopped in front of him.

"I'm going to miss you," Carlos whispered, his ears turning the lightest shade of red.

"We don't say that on the Isle," I eyed him.

"Our parents don't say that," Carlos reasoned.

I sighed. "I'm gonna miss you too, De Vil."

He grinned as the rest of the villain kids came out. Evie hugged me, slightly smiling as she pulled away. Maleficent glared at me from the balcony. Carlos captured my attention again by grabbing my chin and making me face him. I smiled and he kissed my forehead, making me blush lightly.

"Carlos, come on!" Mal shouted.

"Go," I shoved his shoulder toward the limo.

He walked over the limo solemnly. He got in and the limo drove off. I walked off before I teared up. All of my best friends were going off to Auradon and probably not going to be seen again.

I headed over to the salon, where Dizzy was sweeping up hair. I joined her and we finished sweeping together. She smiled at me as I poured the hair into the dustbin.

"Hey, Diz?" I broke the silence.

"Yeah?" she looked up.

"Could you think of a new look for me?" I asked curiously.

Dizzy looked at me for a moment, a concentrated look growing on her face. "Well, your base color is purple, so definitely the hair purple. Your nails the teal blue your mother's earrings were. And we'll go from there."

I nodded and Dizzy began to work. She sat me down in a chair and started to dye my hair. She washed my hair out and I admired the dark plum purple. She did my nails while it was drying.

I admired myself in the broken mirror and whistled. I handed Dizzy money with a smile. She was amazing at her work, and I definitely think her grandmother underappreciated her.

"Who's the makeover for?" Dizzy asked after a moment.

"No one," I shook my head. "Just thinking of trying something new."

"You miss them," Dizzy stated bluntly. "I remember you telling me."

"I do, especially him. I never got to tell him," I frowned.

"You'll tell him when he comes back," Dizzy put a hand on my shoulder.

"And when will that be?" I questioned.

"Someday. If he cares about you, he'll come back," Dizzy assured me.

"I really hope so," I shook my head.

"Go home," Dizzy said gently.

I nodded and walked out of the shop, heading home. I really did miss Carlos, and hoped that he would come back soon.

It turns out, he wouldn't return home for another six months.
