"I can't get Ben," Mal said, putting her phone in her pocket.
"Or Dizzy or Doug," Evie added.
"Or Jane, the signal's out," I concluded.
"Is that Auradon Prep?" Celia asked, pointing at the school.
"Yeah, and when everybody wakes up, you're going to love it," Carlos replied, making me smile.
"Everything is so..." Gil started.
"Freaky," Jay breathed.
"Green! You have leaves on your trees, and those colored things on the bushes," Gil said, pointing.
"Flowers?" Jay asked, wondering why he didn't know what they were.
"Flowers are pretty," Gil admired. He looked at a bowl and saw fruit in it. He started to devour it. Jay wanted to stop him, but Uma stopped Jay before he could stop Gil.
"We don't have any fresh fruit on the Isle, remember?" Uma said, frowning.
"They're grapes," Jay said, patting Gil on the shoulder and walking away.
"Ronan, Sky!" I said in relief, picking up Sky and hugging her.
"Ronan," Sky pointed at her. "Scared. Asleep."
"I know. I'll protect you," I assured her.
"Dude!" Carlos said as I walked over to him.
"What? It wasn't me, I swear! Okay, it was me," Dude admitted.
"Do you know what happened here?" I asked.
"Yeah. Audrey showed up, she put everyone to sleep, and then she turned some of them to-"
"Guys. Hannah's turned to stone," Evie said, pointing at the statue.
Sky buried her head in my shoulder as I walked over to the stone figure.
"Okay, since we're here. Let's check the school," Uma said, starting toward the school.
"No," Mal stopped us, "Audrey went straight for the crown, so I think it's safe to assume that she went for Ben and his castle next? That's where we'll go," Mal decided.
"Says who?" Uma asked.
"Says me," Mal replied, getting in Uma's face.
"Says you and that's supposed to mean something to me?" Uma asked sassily.
"Guys," Evie and I sighed.
Mal turned to us. "To the castle."
"You have a kid?" Uma started, walking next to me.
"No," I laughed. "I'm sixteen. No, this is Scar's daughter, Sky. I think she's more fond of Ronan than me, but so is Carlos with Dude."
"That is not true," Carlos looked at me in disbelief.
I smiled as I shifted Sky. "Sky?" I looked at her.
Ronan pawed at my leg and I looked down at her. "I'm not carrying both of you."
"I want Ronan," Sky said, making me put her down. Sky picked up Ronan and held her how I taught her to hold Ronan.
"You're fond of a kid," Uma stated.
"Is that surprising? I took care of my twin brother, I can be fond of a kid," I shrugged.
"Dude," Sky walked over to the dog.
"She's a cat," Uma said.
"Half cat," I explained. "And the best kid in the world."
