"We're thinking about closing the barrier for good," Mal said to Evie.

"But you said no," Evie replied.

There was a long silence from Mal, but I can't figure out why. She wouldn't seriously say yes to the decision, right?

"I mean, the five of us are living the dream here and we finally get to share that." I reasoned.

"Yeah, I know," Mal rolled her eyes.

I walked out of the room, not interested in the conversation. I knocked on Sky's door and opened it. She was still sleeping. I smiled, sitting on her bed as she stirred. She looked at me and smiled brightly.

"Momma?" Sky questioned, sitting up and rubbing her eyes.

"No, Sky. It's me, (Y/n)," I explained.

"You're like Momma," Sky looked up at me.

I smiled. "That's sweet of you to say, Sky, but I can never amount to your mother."

"I never knew Momma," Sky looked down at the bed.

My eyes softened as she scooted close to me. I wrapped an arm around her. "I know how it feels, Sky. I never met my father. But, we're here, and we're going to be safe from them."

"Forever?" Sky questioned, looking up at me again.

"Sky, Auradon is your new home. You'll stay here for as long as you can," I assured her.

"Thank you, Momma," Sky wrapped her arms around my waist in a hug.

I shook my head, messing up her hair. "You really think I'm like your mother, Sky?"

"You're nice to me, and you take care of me," Sky explained.

I smiled slightly. "I try to." I looked at the clock. "Do you want anything? It's almost dinner, and I know you're still getting used to this."

"No, Momma. Sleep," Sky laid down on her bed.

I nodded and left the room, closing the door behind me. I walked into the kitchen and ate with everyone at the table. We got ready for bed and I fell asleep immediately next to Carlos.

The next morning, I got up and realized what day it was. I woke Carlos up and he got everyone up. I got dressed and rushed out to the kitchen.

"Okay, who got into Jane's cake?" I heard Carlos yell in annoyance.

I walked over to the cake and noticed a corner had been taken out of the cake. I shook my head as Sky walked up next to me. She had her leather jacket on.

"What do you think, Evie?" I lifted Sky up on a stool.

Evie smiled at Sky as she looked at the jacket. "It's perfect."

We heard a sound outside and I ran outside with the others. There was an old woman where Mal stood, and Audrey looked like a villain. Audrey disappeared into smoke, surprising us.

"Woah! You might want to think of a spell for that," Jay said.

"There's no spell that can reverse the curse of the scepter," Mal said in a hoarse voice.

"Well that's a shame," Carlos said, Celia nodding in agreement.

"Forget about me. Audrey's out for revenge, and all of Auradon is in danger. The only thing more powerful than the scepter, is Hades's ember," Mal explained.

"Oh, like he's just going to hand it over when we go back to the Isle," Jay said sarcastically.

"And nobody knows where his lair is," Evie added.

"I do. I'm his errand rat. I have the key at my Dad's," Celia explained.

"You're coming," Mal pointed at her.

"But I just got here," Celia whined, stomping her foot.
