Chapter 5
~
"Y-you were... Gajeel's..." Levy couldn't believe what she had just heard.
Gajeel walked back with Lily and set down the napkins on the table.
Levy looked down at her book to hide the fact that she wanted to cry.
'I can't believe this.' Levy thought.
"Oy, Shrimp," Gajeel said, "I brought the napkins."
Levy nodded and began eating still with her head down.
"Hey Gajeel," Camilla said, "Remember when you said I glowed?"
Gajeel choked on a piece of bread and blushed.
"Why do need the feel to bring something like that up?" He asked after he drank some water.
"Because," the maid blushed, "I was wondering if I still glowed."
Gajeel looked at Levy who had been staring at him with tears in her eyes.
"I-I," Gajeel saw the glow on Levy, but he saw a shimmer on Camilla. 'They look alike now that I think about it...' Gajeel thought.
"Well?" Camilla asked a little impatient.
"I see... A little bit of glimmer on you," Gajeel said finally and stared down at his food. He knew that there were still some feelings there for Camilla, but his feelings were strongest for Levy.
Levy packed her bag and set got up.
"I'll be at the library if you need me," She said walking towards the cafe door.
"Damn it," Gajeel said looking where Levy had been sitting and covering his mouth. His fist tightened.
Camilla took his hand, intertwined her fingers with his and smiled at him.
A blushing Gajeel looked at her with widened eyes.
"She might not feel the same way I do," Camilla said, "I still keep you here in my heart."
Gajeel quickly pulled away. He might have still had those small feelings for her but he could never fall for her like he did once.
"Lily, were going after the Shrimp," Gajeel said getting up.
"Alright," Lily said.
They headed out of the cafe and headed in the direction of the town library.

Levy ran as fast as her legs could carry her.
'Shimmer?' Levy thought 'He still has feelings for her. I bet he only hangs around me because I look weak and I can make him look strong. I thought he...'
"Does he love me... For me? Or..." Levy slowed down her pace and began to cry. She fell to the ground. She had scraped and cut her knee with some broken glass on the ground. "D-does he h-hang around me b-because I weak?" Levy covered her face with her hands and sobbed. 'How could I compare to her!? She's nice, has a great body, beautiful long hair and she's probably strong.'
"Shrimp," a voice said from behind her. Gajeel stretched out a hand for Levy to stand up.
Levy was about to take his hand but didn't. She got up all on her own.
"O-ow," Levy said. She looked at her knee and it was gushing with blood.
"Holy crap, Shrimp, "Don't go running away like that! I told you once before, you're hard to find so stay by my side." Gajeel picked up Levy and carried her.
"W-where are we going?" Levy asked not looking up at Gajeel.
"Well we need to get that wound cleaned up," Gajeel explained.
"We're going back to the hotel."
"Oh," Levy said. "Ok."
~
They got to the hotel and Gajeel carried Levy up all the way to her bed even though she had insisted to walk.
"No," Gajeel had said, "You're wounded."
"Gajeel you have your sweet moments," Levy said not looking up at him.
Gajeel blushed as they walked into the room.
"I just don't want you to get hurt anymore," he explained. He set her down on her bed and went into the bathroom to get a first aid kit.
"Ouch," Levy said as he was about to clean up the wound with the rubbing alcohol.
"I haven't even touched it yet," Gajeel chuckled and looked at Levy.
Levy blushed in embarrassment. "It still hurts you know!"
"Yeah, yeah," Gajeel said and placed the cotton with rubbing alcohol on Levy's wound.
"OUCHHH!!!" The blunette had tears in her eyes as she looked down at Gajeel.
Gajeel examined the wound.
"Ooh... That has really got to hurt," he said, "Shrimp, have you actually looked at the wound?"
"I..." Levy had been so distracted that she hadn't really even paid attention. She looked at her wound. It was definitely not a small cut and it was badly bruised. She looked a little bit closer and saw a piece of glass stuck in the cut. "Gajeel!" She said starting to panic a little, "There's a piece of glass stuck in my knee."
"I noticed," he said, "Lily! Come take a look."
The feline flew over to when the blunette and the dragon slayer were."Levy," the feline said, "do you know how numb this? Using your script magic that is..."
"Yeah," Levy said with one eye closed due the pain. She numbed her leg enough so that she wouldn't feel much.
"Go get the scalpel and some tweezers," Lily told Gajeel, "Also don't forget the stitching kit."
In a few seconds Gajeel had returned with the things.
"Now Levy," Lily said, "I'm going to need you to lay down on the bed. Gajeel you go over there and hold her hand. She might need something to squeeze."
"Right," a worried Gajeel said.
Levy lied down and looked at Gajeel. He looked at her as well.
He took her hand and they looked at each other in the eye.
"It'll be alright, Shrimp," Gajeel said.
"I know," Levy said, "I trust you."
They both smiled at each other and blushed.
