Waking Up

*Zack's P.O.V.*

I see a light. Does that mean that I'm dead? Did I fail Jhana? Oh my gosh... Jhana... Is she ok?

I started panicking and flailing about, the nurses came running and gave me a sedative that made me light headed, I drifted into unconsciousness, but before everything went completely silent and black, I heard my best friends voice.

"I told you to keep her safe, I told you to keep my baby sister safe, and you didn't. You are not allowed in my house any longer. I don't ever wanna see your face again. Good bye."

I heard tears in his voice, and then everything went black.

*Jhana's P.O.V.*

            Black filtered all around. I heard continuous beeping noises. My legs and lungs feel like they are burning. My whole body suddenly feels like it is in flames. It hurts like hell. What is happening? The pain is excruciating. I screamed out, not able to hold it in any longer.

            Panicked rustling filled the air around me. The beeping increased, my body cramped up, and my eyes flew open.

            Blurry faces filled my entire vision, strange noises filled my ears. I saw someone hunched over in a plastic chair, shoulders shaking, sobbing noise coming from between his fingers that held his head.

            "Mitch," I croaked, "What happened?"

            Mitch's head jerked up, astonishment filled his eyes, and his face lit up in a smile.

            "I thought I lost you, I thought I lost you," he kept repeating over and over again.

            Then he rushed over to me, crushing my body in a huge hug, pulling me to him and sobbing even louder and harder. He rocked me back and forth, squeezing me tighter to his chest.

            "Ugh, Mitch, squishing me," I managed to cough out.

            He immediately pulled away and started stuttering out apologies. I giggled and pulled him into another hug.

            "Mitch," I suddenly panicked, "Where's Zack? Is he ok?"

            Mitch's eyes hardened as he pulled away from me.

*Sorry that its so short. I played basketball all weekend and I may have possibly broken or jammed my thumb so its hard to write so thats also the reason for the terrible spelling....
