Finally (Akaashi Keiji x reader)

One More Week

A/N: The day of the sushi date ended and each of you were back at your homes.  Also, you don't have to listen to the song while reading lol I'll explain later

It was Monday morning and you had to get ready for school.  You rolled out of bed, getting tangled in the sheets and you sat on the floor next to your bed.  You let out a deep sigh and got up to get ready.  In reality, you never wanted to go to school, but it was the last week before summer break!!  All the final exams were done and the last week wasn't much of an academic filled week.  This made you feel a bit at ease as you got dressed in your uniform and finished getting ready. Before heading out the door, you grabbed a banana to eat while you walked to school. 

As you entered the school, you began to walk to your World History class.  The day seemed to pass rather quickly since you were mostly playing games. It was a really fun day, playing with your friends in the classes you shared.  The day came to an end and you were glad you could go home and relax since you didn't have any homework.  You quickly got home and were ready to do what you want.

You entered the house, took your shoes off, and went straight to your room.  You threw your backpack into a corner and went to change into cool clothes.  Since it was hot, you wore some ripped shorts and a sports bra. After getting comfy, you went to your desk to journal.  You'd recently picked up journaling as a hobby because of the stickers, colors, and washi tapes.  For a little over an hour you continued to do this until you got a call from your mom.  

"Hello?" you answered

"Hi sweetie, how has everything been at home?"

"It's good, everything is going well" 

"That's good honey...your father and I have some good and bad news for you.."

"Why? What's going on?" you said a bit worried.

"The good news is that we got in touch with the company we've been trying to reach and we are working on a collaboration"

"That's amazing Mom!" you suddenly became happier.

"The bad news is that we are going to have to stay here for months.." your mom trailed off

"O-ohh... do you know how long?" 

"We can't say yet.  It depends on how everything goes and with covid and the quarantine.. ah..I'm sorry sweetie" your mom said with a solemn voice

"No! It's fine! It's great that you get to work with the company!! I'll be fine here! Don't worry about me" you tried to reassure her.

"Thank you sweetie" your mom seemed a bit more relieved now.

"Well I have to go, but I'll be in contact with you often so I can check in on you" you mom said before ending the call...
