I closed my eyes slowly before snapping them open, waiting for Darius to ring the doorbell. I gave Ophelia to Joyce for the day, and also wrote a quick note for my mom. I heard squeaky tires roll up the drive way and I heard a knock at the door.
"There he is," I chimed. I lifted my duffle bag up from the ground and walked towards the door, seeing Darius at the door. He yawned and stretched tiredly.
"Let's-" before he could finish, I walked out the door, walking to his cherry Porsche. He and turned around, walking back to his car sluggishly. He got in tiredly and revved the engine, driving quickly. We got to his house and walked in. I was embraced by the smell of orchids. Darius yawned once again, and turned the lights on to reveal his large living room.
The walls were a nice shade of Crimson that had family photos with golden picture frames. There were a few sappy wall quotes here and there, but in the centre of it all was a crucifix. I started at the massive flat screen that was placed on a long black T.V stand. His couches were all grey leather, and to prevent the couches from scratching the wooden floor, there was a fluffy black carpet. There were a few potted plants here and there, which were beside the doors that led to the pool. I turned around and sighed.
"Nice house," I complimented. Darius laughed and yawned once again. He tried to muster a thank you but he was so tired he just nodded his head and turned the lights off. I turned my head and we both marched up the stairs slowly.
I looked down the long hallway and saw four rooms.
"You can sleep in the guest room," Darius said quietly. He opened the door wide enough for me to see. It was so white that it hurt my eyes.
"Wow, it's really white..." I muttered. Darius laughed quietly.
"Well, I'll leave you to sleep here,"
"Okay," I said straightly. "Good night-or good morning..." I joked. Darius laughed once again and said good morning as he shut the door. I looked around at the extremely clean room and sighed, taking my hoodie off and falling into the soft bed.

"Rise and shine Ms. Masie Barbson!" I heard. I groaned and wiped my eyes to see Darius' face hovering over mine.
"What time is it?" I mumbled, trying my best to keep my mouth shut or away from him so he didn't smell my morning breath.
"5 o'clock!" He said cheerfully as he inched away.
"Five in the morning?" I screeched. I looked at Darius' clothes and sighed.
He was ready for a morning run.
"Oh," I said quietly. "Alright, well, I guess I should get ready..." Darius grinned at my not-so-obvious yes and wandered out of my room. I walked into the guest washroom and brushed my teeth and put a baggy t-shirt and shorts on, also putting on a pair of socks and carrying my runners down the stairs to meet Darius, who was stretching outside.
"Come on, Masie! We'll miss the sunrise!"
"That's ok..." I muttered to myself as I slipped my shoes on and shut the door behind me. Darius was already heading towards the beach. I sighed and quickly caught up to him before losing him once again. That boy was fast.
