A/N: Hey everyone, sorry it took so long to post a new chapter. Between being sick, kids being sick, and depression making it so that I simply didn't want to do anything other then sleep. It had been rough, but I am feeling so much better now. So I hope you enjoy!

Chapter 3

When he turned to face Sam he was greeted with a smirk. "I mean if by running away, you mean going home, without you. Then yes, I very much was planning to go home. Alone." Asami said to Sam nervously. He was very aware of Sam's eyes on him and the need to flee was slowly growing. Sam must of sensed his fear as he held his hands up in a harmless gesture. "Look I can see you are uncomfortable with us, and I have a feeling I know why." Sam told him still keeping just out of reach of him, which honestly made him feel a bit better, but not by much. At any time Sam could close the distance between them before Asami could even get ten feet down the alleyway. "If you realized that much, then just leave me alone." Asami sighed. He knew now that they found him that was not going to happen. The fear of what he had been raised to believe reared its head. As well as the loneliness that he had felt all these years since his parents kicked him out. "You and I both know I can't do that. Not only because you are Daemon's mate, but you're also an Omega." As Sam said those words he felt his blood run cold. "Your reaction tells me my hunch is correct." Sam continued. "Hunch?" Asami asked almost in a whisper. Sam nodded and looked down at his phone. Asami was about to bolt when Sam said "Don't even think about it.", and stepped into his path cutting off his escape route. After a moment and a few dings of Sam's phone he watched as Sam slide it into his pocket. "Look I know asking you to trust us isn't easy, but I really need you to try. Daemon and I have no intention of hurting you. Daemon wants to talk to you, so can you try?" Sam asked him again he made no attempt to step into his personal space. Asami really did have to hand it to Sam, he really wasn't doing anything to make him distrust him. He had thought the same thing the other day in the store, however the fact that he knew he was an Omega made him extremely leery. "Would you be more comfortable talking with us at the cafe down the street?" Sam's question caught him off guard. He nodded cautiously and Sam gave him an understanding smile. "Shall we go then?" Sam asked as he gestured toward the street.

They walked side by side as the headed in the direction of the cafe. Sam thankfully never touched him and to his amusement cracked terrible jokes the whole way. "All joking aside. How do you like working in mom's shop? She said you been there what five years now?"Sam asked casually. "Yeah, almost five years, and honestly I love it there. Mrs. Eller is really nice and she is really easy to get along with." He told Sam, a soft smile gracing his lips. "Yeah, she is, until you piss her off." Sam said with a shrug. "I gathered that much when she literally chased Nathaniel out of the store with a broom. Her ability to swing the broom around is frightening." Asami admitted. "Just wait to you are on the receiving end. It's no joke." Sam said with a laugh. "I'll pass. I am very happy with not being on the receiving end." He said as they crossed the street in front of the cafe. Sam stepped ahead and held the door open for him and he thanked him meekly. They stepped up to the counter and Sam insisted he order whatever he wanted. He hesitated and Sam threatened to order him a black coffee with eight shots of espresso, of course he laughed his ass off as Asami cringed at the thought. So to make Sam happy he ordered a coffee with cream and two pumps of brown sugar syrup. Sam ordered a Mocha and as they waited at the pick up counter Asami was suddenly pulled into a crushing bear hug from behind. He let out a startled squeak that yet again had Sam laughing his ass off. The all to familiar sparks from the contact and the smell of fresh pomegranate lemonade that filled his lungs told him it was Daemon.

~ Daemon's Point of View ~

When he entered the cafe he seen Sam joking around with his mate. Sam had seen him enter, but Asami had not so he used that to his advantage. Daemon silently stalked up to his mate and pulled him into a bear hug from behind. His mate let out an adorable startled squeak that caused him to smile. "Adorable." He thought as he inhaled his mates heavenly scent. He felt Asami's panic raising. "Relax my little fox." He whispered into Asami's ear. He felt the hesitation, but soon his mate relaxed in his hold. "Lets grab a table." Sam said as he grabbed the drinks they had ordered before he arrived. He nodded and much to his and his wolf's displeasure he released Asami from his hold. He watched as Asami nervously stepped away from him. It hurt but he knew not to let it get to him. Sam was almost a hundred percent sure that Asami's behavior and fear was based on misinformation. Misinformation that he planned to correct as soon as possible.

They took a seat in a cozy corner of the cafe where they could talk without others bothering them. It took a lot of self control not to pull Asami into his lap. Since he had found his mate and then lost him, he told himself once they found him again he was never letting him go again. Even if he had to use less then ideal means. He wouldn't hurt his mate, but he wasn't about to lose him again. Thankfully Sam was his voice of reason, or he would have already dragged his mate home kicking and screaming if necessary. Sam was not only his Beta, but also his best friend. So when Sam put his foot down about taking things cautiously he listened, but he wasn't happy about it. "Try to relax, we just want to talk." He said as he tried to sooth his mate's nerves. Asami sighed and took a sip if his drink. "What do you want to talk about?" Asami asked them. "A lot honestly, but for now lets start with the basic's." Daemon said as he watched Asami absentmindedly stir his drink. "How old are you?" Sam asked as the ice breaker question. "I. I am twenty-two."  "How long have you lived here?"  "I moved here when I was seventeen."  "Oh so your family is here?" He asked slightly surprised.  "Um.. no. I moved here alone..." The hurt and sorrow that could be heard in his voice caused concern to flare in both himself and Sam. "If its not to much on you, why did you move here alone?" Sam asked cautiously. "My parents kicked me out." Asami finally said after a few minutes of silence. "Why? Because your an Omega?" Daemon asked with concern lacing every word. "No, well it didn't help." "Than why?" Sam asked this time. "Because... Because the found out I was gay." Both he and Sam looked at Asami in shock, but their shock turned to anger as Asami explained what had happened.

~ Asami's Point of View~

Both Sam and Daemon were looking at him with a look of shock when he told them that his parents had kicked him out for being gay as well as Omega. "My brother was the first to find out and threatened me. When I wouldn't give in to his demands, he ran to are parents and showed them the pictures. My dad was furious and my mom was disgusted. Both of them were hugely homophobic. My dad started yelling about how it was bad enough that I was an Omega and about how embarrassing it was, but I was also gay. He ended up beating the hell out of me, before dragging me out of the house yelling that no son of his was going to be a gay Omega and that he hoped I would hurry up and be rejected." Sorrow and pain where heavy in his voice as he told them about what had happened. Asami flinched in fear as Sam and Daemon both let out a murderous growl. Both apologized for scaring him and that they were not upset with him. "Asami you said that your dad hoped you would hurry up and be rejected. Is that why you are so afraid of being found?" Sam asked again concern and caution dripped from every word. Not trusting his words, he simply nodded causing Sam cuss. "I knew it." Sam said, this time it was Daemon and Asami's turn to give him a look of confusion. "He thinks you are going to reject him." Sam said flatly. "What why would I reject him?" Daemon said confused. "Because I'm human." He said meekly. Before Daemon could say anything Sam spoke up again. "Asami, what do you think happens when a Human Omega is rejected?" Both Sam and Daemon waited on baited breaths for his response. "It... it will kill them..." He said in an almost breathless whisper. Both Sam and Daemon cussed and before he could register what was happening he found himself being lifted out of his chair bridal style. "What, what are you doing! Put me down!" He cried in shock and fear. "We are going home my little fox, and as for the whole rejection bull shit. I never planned to reject you from the start." Daemon told him as they walked out of the cafe.

Daemon did not put him down until he was placed in the back seat of Sam's red Jeep Wrangler. Daemon buckled him in before getting into the front passenger seat. They rode in awkward silence until Sam pulled onto the highway. "Asami when we get to the pack house, the pack's doctor, Emily, will be waiting for you. You have been told a bunch of bull shit and most likely been taking medication you don't need. So she is going to talk to you and do some tests to make sure the medication hasn't done any damage." Sam told him as they speed down the highway. "Okay." Asami said confused and a little unsure of what else to say. He was still reeling from Daemon's words. Was Daemon really not planning to reject him? Ever since he found out he was an Omega he had been told human Omega's were worthless and that no Alpha would want them. So was that a lie? There were so many questions running through his that he mostly ignored any attempt to talk to him for the rest of the trip.
