|A few weeks later|

You were looking out the window at the ocean wondering how your friends are *I know Draco wants to protect me and I know we had to do this for my protection but it doesn't mean I can't still feel bad for basically running away, even if hermione and everyone else agree it was the best thing to do* you think as Draco wraps his arms around your waist and hugs you and you look behind you confused "Draco?" You ask and he kisses your cheek

"Sorry I just get nightmares some nights they started a few days after I left Hogwarts. I started having nightmares of you being hurt, or dying right in front of me, honestly I felt the emptiness my life would be without you and maybe that's why I wanna protect you more, so I don't actually feel that knowing I will wake up in the morning and you will be alive still." Draco says as he starts crying and you didn't think about how this is all affecting Draco, of course he did this you are at a high risk of dying more then any of your friends mostly because you are his soulmate, so of course he's gonna take you away at the first sign of extreme danger he needs you and doesn't want to lose you

You smile and kiss Draco *My friends are gonna be ok I know it so, and right now I need to stay safe for Draco so I guess to make sure Draco doesn't die of stress I need to stop talking about leaving, I'll stay here until Draco thinks it's best for us to leave even if it's in a year and everything has been fine for months, my friends will be fine and I need to stay safe for Draco*
