Draco woke you up in the middle of the night and you were confused "Y/n come on we're leaving." Draco says and you were confused it was dark out your leaving now? When everyone is asleep? Wait why? Why are you both running off into the night without even saying goodbye?

"But shouldn't we say goodbye? And wait for morning? You ask and Draco shakes his head

"No y/n we need to just get up and leave I have things packed and ready to go now we're leaving ok? Right now is the best time to leave so come on." Draco says as he helps you up and helps you put his sweater on and then he picks you up and sneaks downstairs and then outside "I'll just carry you the whole time until we get to where we're going." Draco says and you nod sleepily *We had to leave at night if we walk around during the day people may see us so this is what had to happen, I told everyone we will be leaving tomorrow afternoon so they'd help me pack earlier in the day, but I had to trick them, it was to protect y/n they can't know when we leave, or which way it's safer* Draco thinks as he was using both your wand and his to create light so he could see where he was walking

He kept looking over his shoulder at you who was half asleep and he smiled *I am gonna protect her and keep her safe, I won't let one person who may want to harm her touch her again, she's gonna be safe and won't ever have to worry about feeling unsafe again! I will always protect her and keep her safe forever, I won't ever let her feel unsafe again just like how her parents made her feel, she won't ever feel it again I won't let her I promise*

You woke up leaning against a tree and see Draco holding his wand as he yawns "Draco?" You ask and he looks over

"Morning were gonna wait here until it's dark again to keep moving it's safer even if it'll take longer Draco says walking over and you nod as you had so many blankets wrapped around you and Draco looked so cold so you wrapped one around him "I was fine." He says and you show him his hand which was obviously cold

"Yeah sure." You say and Draco sighs

"Can you do that hair colour change spell on both of us?" Draco asks and you put your head on and he hands you your wand and you do it "Why did hell give me ginger hair what am I a Weasley?" Draco says and you sigh

"Look deal with it! I don't give you a hair colour it picks on randomly! And you do the spell again and again until you get the hair colour you want, do you want me to do it again?" You say and Draco sighs

"No it's fine whatever I'll deal with it." Draco says as he looks at you as you lean your head back against the tree Draco gets up and moves you so your leaning on him instead and then he kisses your forehead *I really just wanna get to where we are going so she's safe, because she will be safe there I know it she will be, and maybe once we are there then my anxiety will calm down about all the worries that keep popping into my head I need to protect her! I have to protect her I can't lose her ever! I'll die before I let her die ever!*
