Amy

Amy was raised by her parents to be a successful and exemplary professional. She has rarely been out on a date. She graduated from high school as the top student, and got a scholarship to go to college.

She dresses in old fashion, she is respectful and kind. When she finished college, she felt the desire to study theology.

Miguel is a migrant. He assists as a volunteer in a community organization, there he meets Amy, she is attentive to him.

In the evening, Miguel sends Amy a text message.

They order their favorite drinks, and eat traditional bread from their country of origin. They share stories from their lives and talk about their desire to help others. Miguel didn't finish college, Amy doesn't ask much about the past, she's worried about doing some harm. Miguel proposes that he meet again.

"Sorry, I can't go through with this" 一Amy expresses.

Miguel is aware that Amy is at another educational level, and does not insist.

They both walk in a forest, they go along different paths, Miguel seems lost in thought. Amy sees him, but she hides in some trees, and changes route. She comes to a quiet place, spreads a blanket, and begins to eat vanilla cookies, while she reads a romance book; she imagines the story, and gets excited about the handsome and chivalrous young protagonist.

Miguel reaches the top of the forest, breathes, there is absolute calm. From there he appreciates the greatness of nature, he feels sad about his failures, and some tears come out of his eyes.

Amy visits the local museum, and sees Miguel sitting in front of a Diego Rivera mural. Amy sits next to Miguel, and leans her head on Miguel's shoulder, both of them holding hands.

Amy fue educada por sus padres para ser una profesional exitosa y ejemplar. Pocas veces ha salido a una cita. Se graduó en la escuela secundaria como la mejor estudiante, y obtuvo una beca para ir a la universidad.

Viste a la moda antigua, es respetuosa y amable. Cuando terminó la Universidad, sintió el deseo de estudiar Teología.

Miguel es un migrante. Asiste como voluntario en una organización comunitaria, ahí conoce a Amy, ella se muestra atenta con él.

Por la noche, Miguel le envía a Amy un mensaje de texto.

Ordenan sus bebidas favoritas, y comen un pan tradicional de su país de origen. Comparten historias de sus vidas, y hablan de sus deseos en ayudar a los demás. Miguel no terminó la universidad, Amy no pregunta mucho sobre el pasado, le preocupa hacer algún daño. Miguel le propone volver a encontrarse.

一Lo siento 一, no puedo continuar con esto 一, expresa Amy.

Miguel es consciente que Amy está en otro nivel educativo, y no insiste.

Ambos caminan en un bosque, van por veredas diferentes, Miguel parece perdido en sus pensamientos. Amy lo ve, pero se oculta en unos árboles, y cambia de ruta. Llega a un lugar tranquilo, extiende una manta, y comienza a comer galletas de vainilla, mientras lee un libro de romance; ella imagina la historia, y se ilusiona con el joven protagonista apuesto y caballeroso.

Miguel llega a la cima del bosque, respira, hay una calma absoluta. Desde ahí aprecia la grandeza de la naturaleza, se siente triste por sus fracasos, y algunas lágrimas salen de sus ojos.

Amy visita el museo local, y ve a Miguel sentado frente a una obra de Diego Rivera. Amy se sienta junto a Miguel, y recuesta la cabeza sobre el hombro de Miguel, ambos se agarran de la mano.
