We ate dinner and chatted. We laughed and giggled. Then Synthia left, and I pretended to fall asleep on the couch. After everyone was asleep I snuck on to the balcony. It was so nice to look at Death City at night. "Hey." Kid said as he walked out and stood next to me.
"What the hell! Don't scare me like that!" I laughed as I pushed him.
"Well it's not like I did it on purpose!" He laughed pushing me back.
"Suuuuuure." I smiled looking back at the city.
"Pretty isn't it?" Kid breathed. He smiled looking at me as a tear ran down my cheek.
"Hey you okay?" He asked. He was so sweet.
"Yeah, just tired." I said turning to see him. He was actually paying attention.
"Oh." He nodded smiling.
"Well don't cry... It makes everyone sad." He smiled.
"Everyone? Or just our friends in general?" I asked he laughed we talked for a while and looked at the stars. It was a beautiful night. We had stopped talking and were just looking now.
"It's so, beautiful." I said breathlessly. He smiled.
"So vibrant." I continued as if no one else was there.
"So, romant-" that's when I was cut off... By Kid kissing me.
