Golden tears slid down Hylia's face as her knight lay dying in her arms.
"H-have I served you well, y-your grace?" the hero coughed.
"Link, there is no need for formality. Yes you have served me well." Hylia managed to whisper.
"B-but I fai.."
"Shh... don't think that way. You fought with all you had." She soothed. The sounds of battle echoed behind them, but this was a moment of peace with her faithful knight.
"Hylia, you look so beautiful." Link softly whispered as darkness began to cloud his vision. "I... I am so sorry." Link kept his gaze locked on Hylia's tearstained face as his sight faded. Hylia sobbed when Link's normally bright blue eyes appeared grey. When she finally regained some of her composure, she rested her hand on his forehead and shakily spoke.
"My dear knight you shall watch over your successor and protect him until his time comes. T-thank you, Link, my brave hero."
