"Rin, are you sure you're ready to handle them again?" Amaimon inquired, sitting on the edge of the bed whilst eyeing the young demon button his dress shirt. The tail that has yet to curl made Amaimon bother a bit further; the fluff of the fur ceases to exist in his vision.

"Stop fretting," Rin mandated, pulling his blazers and spruces up. "Be troubled once we get back. As far as I know, father scorns to dawdle. Evermore, he hates it when I am the one who makes him wait." The lad grabs his key, slotting it to the door before passing into a territory he is in need to be in.

Once the door has shut, too sudden and defiant, Amaimon felt nothing favorable as the pup form fled from the corner. He cannot help but sigh: was the act he had done a misstep he should've been mindful of? Or was it just Rin's hardheadedness? Or...was it-

No, Rin is not like that. At a modicum of times, yes, but he is not like that. He will not withdraw from Amaimon. He is nothing like their brother Astaroth.

Right?

----------

His expected behavior was not to be unnoticed; he jostled away from the crowds upon the noisy halls, wriggling until he reaches the emergency staircase of the academy. If he was lent the right to serve as a spy, he could accept the petition. Of course, as long as it doesn't involve a certain traitor.

Rin takes a fit upon the dull corner, attentive to some students eyeing at him with worry. His looks are a bit disheveled due to the crowd.

"Rin!"

The lad urges a detached stare, contemplating as Sheimi and Izumo moved toward him with three fellows following behind with their casual chatter. Rin scrunched as the flower girl slump upon him with a bear hug. He needs to push away the girl, but a look from Izumo made him uncertain and let this one slip, for now at least.

"I am so glad you're alright! I thought they would kill you right on the spot!" Sheimi cried, refusing to let go of Rin's arm as Izumo tries to pull her away and screaming "Let me stay for a bit!"

Was she that clingy before? Rin encloses his thoughts, No. Why would I care? "Listen to your lover: Let. Me. Go."

Sheimi was quick to obey as Izumo thankfully hugged her girlfriend. However, the tone Rin had made was something she is not inclined with and thus let Miwa take her girlfriend and stood at Rin with an unimpressed expression.

Rin stood with an ever-so still complexion, unimpressed as well as her. No matter how dour she looks, a fragile human she is still.

"Look, I'm grateful that you made her let you go, but your tone shouldn't be that harsh." She spoke calmly, glancing at the group as they watched the interaction. "As much as we know you are not the Rin we used to know, at least give some manners-"

Rin chuckled, leaning back at the wall behind him. "Really? Manners? Who do you believe I am to be given such fundamental lectures?" He leaned down to her height, "My manners are to the ones who earned it. I don't give it to humans who not only tugged me to the brink of death, but also those who have humiliated me, look down upon me, battered upon my pride, and erode every bit of humanity left in me." He scowled at the group, "And I wonder who they are."

"Okay! We get it!" Suguro spoke up, nudging Izumo to the back to give them a distance. "We know we don't deserve every fucking thing, but at least give us a chance to fucking prove it to you that we cared and changed! Besides! Your behavior was rather rude!"

"Rude?" Rin let his tail slip behind him, unaware of it. "My mannerism has been born this way, and you dare to tell me it is rude?" Rin halts, making Suguro wonder what made him hesitate. Then Rin began again after few seconds, "Maybe it is a bit rude to humans like you, considering I was your former friend. But you must also know, hugging is not my forte, especially when it comes to people I despise."
