We weren't in his car for a long time before we arrived at a beautiful café. I opened the door for myself as soon as the car was parked and started walking confidently into the café with Holden by my side.

As soon as we went in, I was sure I saw many people staring at us. Yes, I was in fact one of those people who knew she was beautiful, and I always used that to my advantage. I knew my strengths and I was not afraid to use them. I could hear whispers around us and to be honest I wasn't surprised we both looked really good and the world complemented us for it.

As we sat down by the window of the café, I took the menu immediately skimming through it to get my order. All in all, this seemed like a pretty descent place. It wasn't too fancy, but it wasn't run down also. It was just in the middle, perfect, just how I liked it.

I faintly heard Holden sit down in the chair right in front of me as he picked up a menu too, after a while a young waitress came to our table and then facing me Holden all flirty, she asked for his order.

After picking out what I wanted I dropped kept staring at the menu pretending to be engrossed in it as I watched the encounter and listened to their conversation. I watched as she blatantly flirted with him without a care in the world that I was sitting right across the table from him. She didn't even ask for my order.

I listened as he turned her down politely, but she kept on persisting. Putting my Menu down on the table loudly enough for her to hear I looked up at her. "I would like a double caramel expresso and a cheesecake" I said as she turned my way and finally took my order while glaring at me.

"Please do refrain from glaring at me as it would do you or your job no good and I would also like it if you would refrain from flirting with the gentleman right in front of me, have some dignity will you" I said as scarily as I could while scrolling through my phone with no emotion on my face. I heard her whimper at the underlying threat as she stuttered a bit before she apologized and went to process our order.

"Wow that was something" he said smiling as I looked up from my phone.

"I hate rude people" I stated calmly as we looked at each other for a while not knowing where to start from.

"So, tell me about yourself" I said as we started talking lightly about his work, his favourite colour and his school days. It didn't take a while but then the conversation just went smoothly, it was so easy talking to him and soon there were small laughs coming from the table as we talked about each other.

"It's really hard to imagine you as a wild person in college" he said to me as he laughed a bit.

"Nor can I imagine that about you, but here we are, two past rebels taking on the world" I said laughing.

"I was just a minor rebel though. I never did anything to cause trouble" I said smiling at him as I took a sip from my expresso.

"Yeah, I'm sure you were" he said smiling. We heard a crash coming from one of the tables and looked over as we saw a tiny waitress girl getting yelled out by a customer as she apologised profusely. I watched as the customers started telling the guy to calm down, that he was overreacting.

I scoffed at the interaction as I turned back to look at Holden who was staring at me now.

"Why'd you react that way" he said as he stared at me curiously.

"Because I hate girls like her" I stated matter of factly.

"Why would you hate girls like her? She was wrong yes and she apologised, but he is clearly overreacting" he said as he watched me curiously.
