Ontario, Canada. 24th March 2019.

Our siblings brought us back to the kitchen where we could all have a little talk. I was starving as I never really had proper food at the commission or on any of our missions so I craved a peanut butter marshmallow sandwich, and by the looks of it, Five did too.

"What's the date?" Five asked.
I added, "The exact date." Looking at all my siblings crowded around the other side of the table.
"The 24th," Vanya mentioned.
"Of what?" Five questioned.
"March," replied Vanya.

Five looked pleased and concentrated on making our sandwiches. "Good."
Luther looked at us baffled. "So, are we gonna talk about what just happened?"
We put our pieces of bread down on a cutting board as the table was pretty dusty and the bread would have tasted dry. "It's been 17 years." Luther stood up, overlooking both of us.

We scoffed and Five answered, "It's been a lot longer than that." He walked over to Luther but teleported to reach the other side of him to grab the marshmallows.
"I haven't missed that."
"Where'd you guys go?" interrupted Diego.

Five was rummaging the top of the cupboard for the small marshmallows that were essential for our sandwiches.
"The future. It's shit, by the way," I said, peering at Five teleporting back to our slices of bread lying on the cutting board.

"Called it," Klaus proudly stated raising his finger and eyeing everyone proving he was right.
"I should've listened to the old man, and y/n shouldn't have followed me. You know, jumping through space is one thing, but jumping through time is a toss of the dice," Five elaborated whilst opening the peanut butter from the fridge.

We both looked up spreading the peanut butter on our bread and added, "Nice dress," to Klaus. Everyone was shocked at our synchrony.
"Oh, well, Danke!" flipping his dress belt around.
"Wait, how did you get back?" Vanya asked.

"In the end, I had to project my consciousness forward into a suspended quantum state version of ourselves that exists across every possible instance of time." They all had abstruse across their faces.
"That makes no sense," doubted Diego.
"Well, it would if you were smarter," I replied, causing Diego to lunge at me but Luther held him back.

"How long were you there?" Luther interrogated.
"Forty-five years," Five answered but I nudged Five on the shoulder and he continued, "Give or take."
Luther sat down, Diego took a step back, Klaus's mouth wide open, Allison staring at us, and Vanya looking at us in disbelief.

Luther seemed to be the only one willing to talk to us so he continued, "So what you're saying is that you guys are 58?"
"No, our consciousness is 58. Our bodies are now 13 again," stated Five as we finished making our sandwiches. I took a big bite of the bread and it felt so nice to eat something that I had made once in a while.

"Wait, how does that even work?" Vanya questioned again.
"Delores kept saying the equations were off. Eh. I bet she's laughing now," said Five, taking a bite of his sandwich over by the fridge. I tilted my head over to Five when a woman's name was called out. Delores? huh? I mean he's pretty lucky to have met someone in the apocalyptic world.
"Delores?"

Five had not bothered to answer the question we all wanted to know. Who is Delores? "Hmm. Guess we missed the funeral."
"How'd you know about that," Luther asked. We all looked at Luther in disappointment.
"What part of the future do you not understand," I exclaimed looking at him in discouragement. "Heart failure, huh?" Five interfered.
"Yeah."
"No."

It seemed like Diego and Luther still had a grudge against each other as they were challenging each other on how Reginald had died. Five must've read my mind as he emphasized, "Nice to see nothing's changed," as he drags me out of the kitchen. Klaus was twiddling his fingertips on his lips and everyone was still in disbelief as they had finally seen their two siblings that they haven't seen in 17 years and now, they are magically 58.
