Kidnapping Zuko (4)

The Gaang devised a plan to take Zuko prisoner because it would be too much of a liability. Sokka devised the plan, they would invite Zuko back telling him that he was invited into the group, then BAM, they would tie him up and take him as their prisoner.

"Brilliant Sokka", Katara said in a bored tone. "And what if he fire-bends again like he did to Toph?"

"I hadn't thought of that" Sokka admitted, "what if you freeze his hands the first chance you get?"

"Okay," Admitted Aang, who was still dubious about the whole 'take Zuko prisoner' right after Zuko just told them he was good and wanted a second chance. "But he can still breathe fire, I bet his uncle taught him at some point."

"You are thinking about this the wrong way, idiots" Toph said, for the first time since she got back from talking with Zuko. "He obviously isn't going to bend on you guys, he was telling the truth when he offered himself up to be taken prisoner, he is probably not going to fight back, he will take his punishment because he feels bad."

Sokka looked away feeling guilty but quickly brushed it aside.

"The point is he can't be trusted and keeping him with us would be the best way to make sure he isn't hurting anyone."

The gaang agreed to send a message to Zuko to tell him he was welcome to join their group and that they would meet him at the main entrance to the temple. All they had to do now was wait.

Zuko was delighted at first to see the message but quickly realized there had to be something going on behind the scenes.

They wouldn't just let him back into the group so quickly, especially since they just told him that they never wanted to see his face again. Zuko sat on the dirty ground thinking, he tended to overthink a lot of things, especially while in the palace with Azula, his sister. What is she planning? Why did she tell father that I killed the avatar? Is father really proud of me? Or is Azula trying to make me look bad if they find out the Avatar is alive?

Stop.

Breathe.

What did uncle say?

"Your intrusive thoughts can be your downfall if you let them take the reins."

The calm voice of his uncle spoke, calming him down, telling him to breathe.

What is going to happen tomorrow when Zuko sees the Avatar again?

(Time Skip) 

"He's coming!" Toph shouted at the group, letting them know that Zuko was almost here.

"Get into your places! And be quiet!" Sokka shouted.

Zuko rounded the corner, looking around, "Hello? I got your letter! Where are you guys?"

"NOWWWWW" Sokka shouted running towards Zuko

Zuko quickly turned around, gathering some flame, about to strike out of fear of not knowing what was going on when he got hit in the head with a club, knocking him out as he got a quick glance at a boy, with dark brown hair, falling just below his eyes, whipping in the wind.
