Oh no. Oh fuck no, who looked at this situation and decided that this is how I was going to be spending my evening! 

It's him! This fucker, right here, is the cause for about 80% of my stress and honestly the rest is just my fault because I'm a bit stupid and I am very clumsy. He might be my brother but god damn do I keep wanting him to be, my brother just 6ft under! 

No, you know what, this is fine...no, that was a lie - this is very not fine! Yes, my mum might be happy with this situation because she gets to spend all her time staring at a good looking guy like James, I've even caught my dad out on a couple of occasions looking at him, and I don't know what to think about that, but I know that I have to stop before I start loosing my mind. 

Here we are, sat on the floor of the living room like it's some kind of teddybear picnic reenactment! My dad, the single sensible person in this house, is the only one of us actually sat on the couch and, I would join him but, my mum is insisting that I sit on the floor next to her so that we can all be introduced on the same level. 

"So, tell me about yourself James, which one of these lucky guys do you get to share a course with?" The main reason I hadn't brought James up into conversation since meeting him, was a lot to do with the fact that I'm embarrassed for him to meet my kookie family (because yes it can get much worse than me and Kai) and a little to do with knowing my mum would obsess over him..like she's doing just now.

I slightly understand, she's managed to squeeze just about every source of new information and facts out of my other friends. Therefore, new meat for her gave her a new oppurtunity to build up her library of names that are important to me. 

She's already met TJ and obviously she knows Sam and Trevor, she made sure to treat them just as well as she treats me and Kai. Not only him, but she actually met quite a few of the track team during one of the last team meetups: she'd offered to come and pick me up from Seb's house, because we had been smoking pot. Obviously I made sure to save her a joint for her and dad to have later, so she made herself known out of politeness. Unfortunately, this caused a bit more of a scene than I wanted and my mum actually went and bought them some beers after she'd met them; deciding they were "a bunch of lovely lads". That didn't sit well with me because I looked at these guys and knew all the smack they were thinking about talking - all including my own mother and I could feel their jokes before any of them even had the oppurtinuty. 

Some prick even went so far as to play Stacy's Mom when I walked into the locker rooms that next morning. There's no surprise there then that I decked him - not lovely. 

Anyway, James was missing for that meeting, as he was for the rest of them. Well, not missing. He had a good sense for when important matters had come to an end. Therefore, rather than not making an appearance at all, he would be there for the first 30 minutes and leave hours before the rest, as if he was never there in the first place.

"Oh, I'm actually taking three courses." This I didn't know, what the hell? Maybe this night wouldn't be so bad; it gave me an excuse to get to know him a little better.

"My word, three courses at the same time - you're a bit of a high achiever." Sam makes a jutting remark at just the right moment, enjoying sitting back and making snyde comments every time she felt like she was getting a little bit funny. Which she was normally, but when it was out to make fun of James it felt a bit misplaced and uncalled for. She didn't do it to bully him, I understand that, but there is no need to be so mean to him.

"If you think that's impressive, ask him how he got into the school." In reality, she was just jealous. I know Sam  is the smartest person I know, but that's because she boasts about being smart, whereas James was a little more modest. In fact, I don't think I can recall a single thing he's boasted about before, other than being one of the only people to make me c-
