<Third person>

The party remained bright and ecstatic as people continued to arrive later and later into the night. The heat in the house was beginning to rise as a result of bodies. Sweaty bodies danced and drank and sang. The alcohol pushing them to insane limits, effecting their decisions and boosting up the fun. As one of the drunker people there, Toby had met everyone by just before twelve and was now hanging around Cole.

"Well that was a bit of a scene earlier, with the whole Aiden thing." He had got most of his laughs out in the previous hour, but it still intrigued him. " Well I assumed he'd assaulted Kai or traumatized him...in a different way to chickens."

"You're telling me," Cole was now adamant that Kai was a moron, it took a lot of his strength not to whack him around the head or something for being so childish about the whole situation. "But you know, I still don't trust Aiden. As much as I do admire him for being honest and stepping up to say sorry, it still came three years too late and I don't like something about his eyes. There aren't rumors about him for nothing."

This made Toby drift a curious look back over to Aiden. The two of them had been exchanging glances for a lot of the party. Unlike Cole, who feared this certain vibe, Toby was curious and drawn by it. He pushed himself off the counter, wobbling a little from the alcohol, and struts to Aiden. Just as Cole was about to reach out, to stop Toby interacting with Cole a second time, he noticed James making his way over. He put his arm back to his side.

"Hey, you!" Toby takes a stance directly in front of Aiden, unwavering in his confidence but definitely swaying his heavy head. "What took you so long?"

"Excuse me?" Aiden, wide eyed, looked slightly down to meet Toby's eyes. He'd noticed this guy had been staring at him for a while now but didn't really know why. He wasn't from here. He didn't remember his name either.

"Sorry, I'm just getting a bit impatient. Seems like Cole isn't going to get to the point, so I want to know, what took you so long to say sorry?"

"I don't even know who you are," Aiden scoffed, but he hesitated when the guys glare wouldn't give up. "You aren't from around here, from England?"

"Ugh, I'm Toby. I am from here, but I moved during Kindergarten, I spent a lot of time out of the US and mainly interacted with British people which is why I have this dumb accent. My favorite colour is yellow, my dogs name is Brie, I take Historical Lit and I also just want to get some bloody answers! Stop with the mystery bullshit and just tell me why you took three years!" Toby felt eyes piercing at him, probably because he was being too loud and overdramatic.

"Don't you think you're being a little intrusive?" Aiden understood why Toby was so curious, there was probably a lot of secretism built up about me when he hangs out with Cole. Maybe he just wants closure. "It's none of your business."

"Maybe not, but unless you want me to get the wrong idea about you, I'd suggest you start talking." He was getting a bit frustrated; he was curiosity driven so having information held back from him made him want to blow up. "I've heard the rumors. You were some messed up kid in middle school, big whoop, but then you disappeared. I don't know you, like, at all, but my gut tells me you're not what everyone thinks you are. Cole has got to be wrong about you."

"Why do you even care?" Toby was making Aiden uncomfortable. There was a tension brewing between them which he couldn't place. This was dumb. He picks up his cup and goes to leave. However, Toby would be more persistent than that.

"Who is your friend?" James picked up a random can from the table, something bitter and fruity. He leant up on the island next to Cole, their shoulders touching.
