Do You Accept Me?

 

Eddie's POV.

After coming home from the hospital like two weeks ago, I haven't spoke to Shane like I wanted to about what really happen to me. Shane layed in bed and I layed next to him, he tried to grab me but my mood changed like if  I was in my period on. "What's wrong?" he asked looking confuse and kissed my shoulder.

"I'm still wondering who would put me in the hospital?" I asked looking at him through the corner of my eyes.

He froze and as his eyes meet mines I notice that they hold pain. But why would his eyes hold pain for? If he said that he didn't know who did that then why should he freeze for.

"Y-you should just let that go Eddie." He said and fix himself on the bed.

"Is there something you want to tell me." I asked him.

"No," He said, "What makes you think that?" He asked.

"Because you answer to fast, Shane what's going on." I said to him sitting completely on the bed. I looked over to him but he looked the other way, "Shane?" I question him.

"Babe, what makes you think that something is happening?" He said looking at me. There in his eyes say a totally different story and I knew that he knew that I knew the truth.

"You-you-you know what happen to me don't you?" I asked getting up from the bed and pacing the floor. Shane sat up on the bed.

"No, why would you think that?" He ask me but looked white on the face.

"Shane you know who did this to me, don't you?" I said as I came to a complete stop. I knew in that moment that Shane knew exactly who did this to me.

"Eddie, I-well, maybe I do, I think I do." He said stuttering his words out. I can't believe that he knows.

"How long you knew this and was you ever going to tell me?" I asked looking at him bewilder at the statement that he just said.

"Well," He started but never finished talking.

"Of course you wasn't. You don't want me to know the person, so if you don't want that; that means that you know the person because if you didn't then you wouldn't be so protected of that person." I said.

"You didn't even let me finish." He stated.

"Was you going to tell me who it is?" I asked him crossing my arm at him.

"Damn, Eddie I didn't mean this to happen. I thought everything was going to be fine with us but it wasn't," He got up and started walking around the room "It wasn't suppose to happen this way after you told me to get out I left and went home. My brother made me realized that I could achive everything I want but If I don't have someone there by my side along the way what's the point in doing something you love when you don't have nobody to celebrate with at the end," He sat down on the bed, "the reason why I treat you this way is because I'm scared to lose my captain status." he said low

"What?" I ask because I really need to hear this, "What did you just said?" I ask my voice a little high.

"Shhh, You don't want to wake up Mike and Carlos." He put his fore-finger on his lips.

"I don't care, What did you just said?" I ask him again this time very loud so maybe the whole world could here me.

He bow his head and after a second looked up again and there was tears in his eyes, "I said that I'm scared if I come out I'll be kicked off the football team and lost my captain status." he repeated himself.
