Afar - At or to a distance. To look at something from 'afar' means looking at it from far away.

★Recap: George has a flashback to a past memory of him and Dream from when they first got each others number and wakes up on call with him that morning. Tommy streams and talks to Drista, ending in Drista sending a baby photo of Dream to Tommy and the Dream Team making plans for the meet up.

Just to note that there is another flashback in this chapter because its important to the story but I promise after the first half of this chapter there is going to be more George and Dream 'sus' moments and will be less George angst :)

George say idly under the big oak he had grew to find comfort in these past few hours, sitting, watching and listening all as the world passed him by. The tree made George feel a type of comfort another person never could, leaning into the dents at the bottom of the tree, above the ground and above the roots is where he sat stationary.

He watched early on as the sun slowly made its way down the mountain and going just behind until it was no longer visible. In that moment he felt the sun was smiling even if he wasn't, the sun was bright and brought out the pale features in his face.

He felt warm, not only physically at the heat that was around him but also in his soul, like the sun had gone straight through his skin and into his heart. The world around him moved slightly and the trees swayed like they did everyday as he admired the view that was beyond his feet.

The tinted yellow, but green as he knew it was, grass was spread over a small hill which then slanted down to a near by river that was small but still the noises of the water still was apparent when his focus moved to it every so often.

The two small rocks in front of him was perfect to lay food and drink on, like a small table. He imagined him and a few close friends setting up their chairs by the tree and tents with warm blankets in just twenty feet from the tree.

He could imagine the laughs, the music playing, the long and meaningful talks, the dancing to silly songs and running from one another while chasing each other with water guns and bottled water that was replaced with river water.

He imagined being exactly where he was at this moment, body curved to fit into the dent in the tree with a burger in hand and a blanket thrown over him gently. He wished more than ever to do that now.

He grabbed the bottled water that he had purchased from the store a bit away from the field and took a sip, he hadn't eaten all day apart from one packed sausage roll which was small and dry. He didn't feel hungry or starving or even full, his body was just completely neutral like it didn't need food at all ever.

Once the sun had fully disappeared he watched as the one side of the sky would still light up a  orange and yellow colour and admired the view because even though the colours were not what anyone else saw it was still a pretty sight.

It was beautiful, basic but still he always loved the view of something from far away.

Things always look better from afar.

no one asked but this is one of my favourite things in life :)

It had been a while, he wasn't sure how long as his phone was sat in his pocket the whole time, untouched and forgotten about. He was positive that his phone couldn't help him out at all, no one to call and nothing to do.
