June 5th

The four walls George always felt safe in growing up has slowly grown to be the place that held his entire world, his set up, his Youtube, his friends on the other end of Discord calls, his memories, his job and his entire life. George rarely left his room and for others that would be sad or some would be concerned but for George it was his safe place, his happy place.

The only times he would go out would for be for meals with friends or family in bars or loud restaurants, rare shopping trips for things he simply couldn't buy online or the occasional head clearing walk.

He didn't mind going for walks, they made him feel at peace and when ever he faced a tough problem or had to think things through he would step outside or his life, out from the four walls, and get fresh air.

Today he woke up, happier than most with his phone still idle beside him and small noises from outside. His room was bright and still and his eyes started to open. He slowly lifted himself from his pillow and rubbed his eyes. He had no idea what the time was as he had naturally woke up, no alarm to wake him.

He picked up his phone from beside him, it was burning hot compared to the surface it lay on. The phone lit up and George's eyes shot straight to the name that was still planted on his phone.

He was still on the phone to Clay.

"H-hello." He put his phone on his lap and stretched his arms. He waited for an answer not exactly sure what lay on the other end of the call.

After a few moments he text Clay and said he was up but wasn't sure if he was. He assumed he wasn't and said hello again still getting no answer so he ended the call and got up.

As soon as his legs started to hold him up, his mind went back to last night. There was nothing that made his life more complete than really talking to another about genuine things in life and not just work or games. It felt even more special when that person was Clay.

A few conversations he had shared with childhood friends and other people like Sapnap in the dark or doing something to waste the time at early morning, not really wanting to sleep despite yawning every so often was special to him.

For George, these moments mattered more than most. And with Clay, it was like they had this way of just knowing exactly what the other was feeling and sometimes they didn't even have to tell each other certain things to understand.

George never had these intimate moments with people that had known him the longest or even ex-girlfriends, only with Clay.

He had only had two past girlfriends, one being at a younger age, an age where he didn't even understand the word 'love' but still said it anyway and the other being not too long ago, a time when he was finding himself. A time he had just made new friends and started to think about getting a job and finding an apartment.
