Chapter 8: Unforgiving

Lycus POV

As planned I go to the lake that everybody that hasn't been captured decided to go to. Sadly, I'm the first one here but I don't have to wait long because Hera and Perc coming walking up hand in hand. I want to gag at the site to make them laugh but it just doesn't seem like the right time. 

"Hey, are you guys okay?" I asked concerned. I've never seen them look so upset in the short time that I've known them. Just as Perc is about to say something I see Gwyn coming towards alongside- TOMINAGA. We run towards them hugging each other and checking to see if they're alright.

"I missed you guys too," Tominaga said solemnly  "wait where's Satis?" We all look at each other knowing the only possibility. They were taken.  Not being able to handle all of the emotions I take out a blunt and light it. 

"You got another one?" Gywn asks. This is the first time I take a good look at them. I hate seeing them look so hurt and scared. I nod my head and pass him my extra lighting it for him. Tominaga pulls them close and surprisingly they don't blush or squirm. 

"Tomi, what happened to you?" Hera being the only brave enough to ask him. We don't want to know but we have to in case we all meet the same fate. He sighs and for a moment we just stand in silence.

"It's a long story so let's sit down before I start." And so he starts from the moment he was in the school library to when he escaped with Gwyn. We all sit there for a moment taking in everything we were just told. 

"Wait, you can manipula-" Hera starts asking Tomi a question until she's interrupted by Satis.

"Hey, guys sorry I'm late." That's an understatement. 

"It's okay Satis we're just glad you're sa-" Again Satis interrupts us. 

"Actually we're all safe," They say as government agents start surrounding us. "Just do as they say and none of us will get hurt. We'll have better lives." 

"Satis, how could you?" I asked honestly hurt. I wanted to cry I really did but I couldn't not in front of them or in front of anyone for that matter.  Everything turns into chaos as everybody is being taken or fighting the guards. 

"Get off of them." Tominaga is trying to protect Gwyn while Perc and Hera are trying to protect the other. 

"Your all making this so much more difficult than it needs to be." that's the last thing I hear said before I feel a sharp poke on my neck and my whole body goes numb. As I'm dragged away I see Perc and Hera meeting the same fate, but Tomi and Gwyn are nowhere to be seen.

When I come to I can barely see anything in the darkness. Near me, I hear some shuffling around me. 

"Hello? Who's there? Perc? Hera? Anyone?" I'm scared but I know I'm not alone. I hear more shuffling before someone finally talks.

"Ly? Is that you?" I recognized Hera's voice instantly.

"Yeah, Hera it's me. You're not alone. Do you know where Perc is?" This whole situation is fucked up. First, Tomi is taken then Satis decides to betray us knowing the danger it could put us in. 

"His dad came to get him. He's safe for now. I don't know if I'll ever see him again." I hear her shuffling some more before I feel her frail arms wrap around me. Soon, I hear her silently weeping and the shake of her small body against me. The only thing I can think to do is hold her close to me until she falls asleep. Eventually, they do and it's silent once again. 

After what seems like six hours a door opens and Perc walks in. Just as the doos closes a light turns on. He looks tired and beat down. I put a finger over my lips and direct his attention towards Hera. He nods his head and sits close to us.

"Have they taken you for testing?" he whispers towards me. 

"No, is it bad?" I ask. I don't know if I can handle being tested on not after everything that's happened. Perc just looks at me solemnly and from that look, I know that there's a lot more meaning behind the word testing.
