(Hey guys so this will have some slight mention of abuse. This is just a warning in case you've experienced this.)

Perseus POV

Wow, I actually have friends that don't hate me and who aren't using me for my money. I'm happy. I'm genuinely laughing and smiling and have a blast. Lycus brought some beer and snacks with them so we're all enjoying that. Well, at least I was until I got a text from my dad telling me to come home now.

I look towards Tominaga with a sad expression and he nods knowingly. I walk away scared and disappointed. My parents never text me unless they're pissed or if they need me for one of their trips.

I finally get home and as soon as I walk through the door I knew this was gonna be a long night. My mom looks at me with pity in her eyes while I walk to my father's study. That look is never a good look.

"Father?" that's how he wants to be addressed, I've never been able to call him dad, it was always father, ever since I could talk. Either that or his first name and I'm never calling him that unless I have to. He looks up at me with anger in his eyes and I finally figure out what's wrong. My grades. My fucking grades. I'm about to get my ass beat for getting a B on a test. But, it's either me or my mom and I'm not going to let it be her. Ever.

He finally makes his way over to me signaling my mom to get out and mind her own business. As she closes the door I see my father's hand coming full force at my face......

Well, last night went horribly. Luckily there are no practices for a while or it's gonna be very hard to explain bruises when I haven't been practicing. As I'm wrapping up my bruises and cuts I see my phone light up a couple of times. As I pick it up I see a text from Hera telling me to meet them in the city in an hour and to bring a swimsuit. I smile completely forgetting about last night.

I quickly get dressed and start leaving noticing that my parents are gone. Again. Not caring I make my way to one of the secret tunnels that head into the city. This one is a bit easier to travel through than the others. I finally make it there and as I get ready to text Hera to see where they are I hear someone call my name.

"Perc! Over here!" I look over and see the group waving at me like complete idiots. I quickly run over to them and say hi.

"What happened to your eye?" Gwyn asked me. I quickly feel my eye completely forgetting about it. I wave it off as it's nothing and they ignore it. Everybody does besides Tominaga and Hera. I understand why Tominaga cares but why Hera. I shrug them off and follow them to where ever we're going.

After what feels like years later we finally make it to the newest stop in the city. A new place is always found which isn't surprising since this place is huge.

"When was it found?" I ask looking at them.

"I found it yesterday after everybody fell asleep and after you left," Hera says. I thought I heard a bit of sadness in her voice but she didn't show any signs of it so I ignored it. Everybody starts taking off their clothes already being in their swimsuits and jumping into the massive lake. They're all laughing and giggling until they notice me just standing there smiling.

"Come on jump in don't be a wimp," Lycus says staring at me with crazy eyes "Or are you too much of a chicken." They start mimicking a chicken making everybody laugh. I cave in and take my shirt off knowing the reaction everybody was going to have.

"What the hell happened", "Are you okay?", and "Who did this?" were all I heard from them. Tominaga looked at them once and that was all they needed to shut up. I climbed into the lake and Hera immediately came up to and hugged me. I was shocked at first but quickly gave in and hugged her backed. No words were said I automatically knew she understood what happened even without full context she knew. And that was all I needed to fully trust her.

I could feel everyone staring at us surprised but what shocked them is the fact that I kissed her and the fact that she kissed back. Even though we only properly met yesterday we kissed. I knew she would want to take it slow but I didn't care as long as I got to hold her in my arms and call her mine, in the end, I knew it would be worth it. She pulled away and hid her face in the crook of my neck and all I could do was smile and chuckle.

"Yo guys I hate to ruin this adorable moment but why the hell is the lake glowing??" I looked around and noticed that Satis was right the water was glowing a bright blue.

"Everybody out now!" We all quickly out making sure that no one was affected and to see exactly what was going on. The lake had stopped and we all got dressed and headed up to the hill we hung out at yesterday.

"Hera! What the hell was that? You're the one who found the lake, how did you not know it could do that?" Satis asked practically yelling at her. We were all scared but that didn't mean she had to yell.

"I'm sorry guys I wish I knew but I don't. I'm so so so sorry." Hera said on the verge of crying. She just wanted us to hang out again and it was ruined. I hugged her close and kissed her forehead trying my best to comfort her. We all decided to head home since today became too much for anyone to comprehend.
