For the next few weeks, everything seemed to be falling into place wonderfully. Alioth and I seized the day together whenever we could and on days I want to be alone, he lets me, for a short time anyway though he's always hesitant. He hates when I'm by myself but respects my wishes.

I can tell he's starting to put his trust in other people a lot better too. We have been official members of this wolf pack for a while now, I still can't believe I live amongst the wolves, I love it!

On days where Alioth and I don't do anything at all, we spend it between the sheets making love constantly. It's like I can't get enough of him. He wouldn't touch me for a while since our first time mating since he was terrified to hurt me but I always pushed and begged for his touch letting him know that whatever happens in our bedroom stays there and it's okay if I get the occasional bruise from his wanting touch, I don't mind it at all, I heal quickly anyway.

Today was one of those days.

Alioth removed himself from my body, slumping beside me his eyes never leaving mine. I enjoy having sex with him, a lot. I never knew one could feel the things I do with him, it's unbelievable. It was really early morning, I'd normally get up in about two hours and I still will, but I know throughout the day I'll feel tired.

My body was buzzing, the heat between my legs rising once more and I crawled on top of Alioth hungrily. He laughed, picking me up with ease placing me on the bed once more. I pouted at him, crossing my arms angrily.

"You need sleep little one. You will wake up in a few hours and you'll be grumpy. We've made love several times this night and we have many years before us." He tells me patiently.

I laid back, pushing myself against his side while tracing patterns on his chest, "Can I ask you something?"

He nodded, rubbing my back gently.

"When you were with your first mate, did you two ever have any children?" I whispered, hoping my question doesn't anger him. He didn't answer right away and I instantly felt guilty for asking such a personal question. "I'm sorry, I know it's really not any of my business."

"Of course it is, love." He said, tilting my chin up with his fingers. He sighed lightly, "I met my mate when I was around two hundred earth years, we were together for three hundred years total."

My jaw went slack in shock, "So you were five hundred when you lost her."

His jaw clenched, "Yes."

"I'm so sorry."

His expression softened and he kissed me, "It's alright. During the first two decades we spent together, we had two children, both boys. They grew, they aged and when they were wise enough they joined the reltin. Both of them lost their lives during their time searching foreign planets."

"How old were they when they died?" I asked.

"Our oldest was one hundred and thirty and our youngest was one hundred and twenty." He said with a pained expression.

I reached up, claiming his lips gently hoping that with this kiss he can tell just how much I love him and that I don't plan on leaving him alone. He lost his whole family, I can't even imagine losing him or a child, it must have been hard.

"My mate took it very hard, she barely ate, barely slept and it took an entire century for her to even become semi-normal again." He looked into my eyes and that's when I noticed the tears in his. I felt awful for making him tell me this, he didn't have to, it's hurting him to relive his past.
