13. Afternoon

I walked into the cafeteria where I could not see my brothers. This was just an anxiety attack waiting to happen.

I also didn't have any money for food, so I just stood in the corner awkwardly like an idiot, there was only one empty table but that was on a raised platform at the end of the hall. I figured that that would be where all the popular kids would sit... and I did not need their drama.

"Hey Charlotte come sit with us" Annabelle called out and waved, I sighed and smiled walking towards her.

"Charlotte this is Emily and you already know Tommy. We have two other friends, but they don't seem to be here today.."

"Annie why did you bring the new girl here, everyone knows it her first day and she's already whoring around with the Kings." The girl Emily spat.

"EMILY don't be a cow. You don't even know that for true." Annabelle defended. "Just because you have an obsession with them doesn't mean you can slut shame Emily." Tommy agreed.

"Who are the Kings." I uncomfortably laughed. Ly They all looked at me as if I were crazy. "Only the most powerful, beautiful, popularist guys in school. They are amazing. The brunette one loves me." Emily fakely smiled. "They are all brunette Em" Annabelle laughed. "Exactly" she snorted.

"Guys I don't really want to be known as the girl who befriends whores." She scowled at me. "Plus, she is clearly fake."

She began to rant on about why she didn't like me, so I zoned her out, until everyone went silence as these so called 'Kings' came into the room, I turned around to see my brothers. Well, that makes sense.

When they sat down at their table I looked at Emily who began talking again, "See they are perfect, and you miss Chantel- "

"It's Charlotte actually" Tommy interrupted. I smiled at him, but she rolled her eyes. "Anyway... Catherine those boys will never look at you so don't even. You are not good enough for them. Pathetic really" she laughed. At that I just stood up.

"You know what Emily; you are not a nice person. You judge me and you don't even know me. I am going to go and sit with people who like me and won't be awful. I'll catch you later Annabelle and Tommy." I turned around and walked over to Xavier.

I put my hands over his eyes, Xander and Matteo smiled at me and I smiled back. He tensed at first but "Guess who?" I said into his ear, he relaxed and chuckled. The whole room gasped. "Oh, I don't know? Is it Peppa Pig?"

"No, you idiot... it's me your favourite person in the world." I smiled and he turned around. "Move" he said to the girl who was sat next to him. "What Xavier this is my seat." She scowled.

"Move." He said again. "Xavy you don't have to get people to move I just came to say hi. "Charlie don't be stupid" he smiled then looked back towards the girl "Move." She stood up and scurried over to the other side of the table. I sat down and the whole cafeteria went silent.

"So how is your first day going?" he asked

"Well, the actual learning part is great... the social aspect and the people... not so much" I replied honestly.

"Why? Whose nose do I need to break sorellina?" Xander's eyes grew dark. "No need for violence dear brother, just a few girls came up to me and told me to stay away from you. calling me names and stuff." I shrugged then stole Teo's candy bar.

"Hey. That's my candy bar" he screeched, the twins and I burst out laughing whilst the rest of the table sat in shock horror. "Yes well I don't have any money for food, and you love me... so eat your apple and I'll eat your chocolate." I snickered as he crossed his arms and huffed.
