Chapter 6

~Klaus's POV~

As I was leaving all I could think about was the smell of Vervain on her. I couldn't compel her even if I wanted to. Why had she done that? Did she know I was coming? Maybe... or she's just being cautious. Or is she building up a tolerance, like Katerina? I started my drive back to New Orleans.

"I'll just wait a few weeks, then I can go back with a plan." I just want you to love me again y/n, I thought.

~Y/n POV~

It was the next day. I was now on the couch shaking my leg. The whole team was with me except for Loki. He left after breakfast. All I could think about was how Klaus just left without doing anything. What could he be planning? God, this was the most anxiety-ridden thing in the world. I put my face in my hands.

"Ok seriously, what's wrong?" Tony and the others were tired of seeing me like this.

"Klaus! He's what's wrong!" I snap as I get up and start pacing.

"He left, there's nothing to worry about!" Thor responded joyfully.

"That's just it! Klaus doesn't just leave!" Everyone looked confused, "When he wants something he will get it eventually. Maybe he'll wait it out or he will force it." I stop to put my hands back in my face. "He's planning something I can feel it, or he would've killed me on the spot" I Murmered the last part to myself. Though I could tell Thor and steve heard. Nat puts an arm around my shoulder and leads me back to the couch.

"We'll upgrade the systems. Give the guards Vervain and darts filled with both Wolfsbane and Vervain." Nat looks to Tony for agreement and he nods already getting out a tablet.

"It won't matter, Klaus has been alive for decades. He'll find a way." I say with desperation in my voice. "God I shouldn't be here right now! I'll just be putting you all in danger." They all looked at me with sadness.

Before anyone could say anything the alarms blare and everyone is getting ready for the unexpected mission. "We'll talk about this later, please don't just leave. We will find a way to keep you and everyone here safe." Nat sounded desperate to keep me here. So I nod agreeing to give the team a shot. But if it came down to leaving with Klaus and their lives I wouldn't hesitate to go with him. Even if that means doing his dirty work.

Loki appears the second the team dispatches in the quinjet. He looks at me and walks closer holding my shoulders so I would face him. "What happened?" He tries to see what's wrong.

"Nothing." I came off a bit harsh and could smell his heartbreak a little, "I'm sorry, I'm just so worried."

"Is that why everyone seemed so... different, this morning?" It had been a bit tense this morning.

"Thor hasn't told you about what happened yesterday?" Loki shakes his head in confusion. "Jarvis, could you pull up the videos from yesterday, please?"

"Of course Ms. Y/l/n." Jarvis pulls up the videos of Klaus compelling his way in here and the whole encounter that happened. I noticed when the part of me stabbing Klaus in the shoulder came up Loki had smirked a little. I go on to explain how that was Klaus the original hybrid that turned me.

"How did he turn you into a vampire?" I looked at him a bit surprised. "I mean I know he had to feed you his blood then kill you but, how did he kill you?" I stare at him blankly.

"Oh, Uhm." I never liked explaining me literally dying. 

"Nevermind." He starts to pick up his book to read.

I hesitate before speaking up, "D-do you mind if I show you instead?"

I just wanna say my friend and I acted this out very dramatically. Highly recommend we laughed the whole time XD. Also sorry it's a bit short but I think the next chapter will be worth it. Enjoy my little demons.
