Third Person's POV:
"What happened with the rope? Did you find out where the informant is?" Emma said to Norman. Once again, all four children went hiding in the forest after breakfast. Norman was nervous to answer and looked at (Y/N). (Y/N) was confused and a bit worried about Norman. Norman later looked at Ray expecting to see a nervous Ray but Ray was calm. On the inside, Ray was panicking.
"Actually...um..." Norman tried to speak but he didn't know what to say after he had spoken with Ray last night. Ray looked at (Y/N), who she is now looking at Ray with confusion. "Tell us, Ray." Emma said. Ray wanted to say that he is the traitor but the problem is (Y/N). How would she react? He saw how she reacted when they all discussed the possibility of a traitor among the children in the room the other day.
"Uh...I..." Ray couldn't speak, a nervous sweat dripped from his forehead. Norman noticed Ray struggling to admit it so he stayed quiet, letting him confess. Ray tightened his fists in frustration.
"Dammit! I'm the traitor!" Ray blurted out.
Norman looked at Ray with a surprised look, not expecting him to say it in front of them all.
"...I'm the one who's leaking info."
The group gasped in surprise and there was a long silence. (Y/N) was shocked about what he had just said while Emma was processing what he had said.
"Wait, it was you!?" Emma yelled.
"R-Ray?..." (Y/N) stuttered.
Ray is the traitor? Did I hear that right? My best friend?
(Y/N) thought. Ray felt his heart aching, he knew (Y/N) would be devastated about the news. Norman could tell (Y/N) is breaking by her look. Emma looked at (Y/N), too with a worried look.
"Tell me it isn't true what you just said, Ray. Tell me!"
(Y/N) walked in front of him and looked Ray in the eyes with seriousness. Ray sighed. "It's true...I've been a traitor all along. I'm sorry." Ray said, not looking at (Y/N) in the eyes but looked down at the ground in shame. (Y/N)'s eyes widened and felt her eyes getting teary.
"I-I...can't..." (Y/N) couldn't take it and quickly turned away and ran through the forest. Not wanting to look back or see Ray. "Wait, (Y/N)!" Ray was angry at himself and wanted to apologize to her so he ran after her. But, he was stopped when Norman grabbed his arm and shook his head with a pained look.
"Ray, Let her go for now. You can go back with her when we're done here. She is hurt and she needs time." Norman said, looking at Ray with seriousness. "But, she is my best friend! I have to apologize or else she-!" "We know! You can explain it to her once she is calm! Can't you see she is hurt!?" Emma scolded Ray, angry that Ray made (Y/N) upset. Ray sighed and stood to them.
Of course, he needs some explaining to do.
-----------------------------------------------------------
Meanwhile, (Y/N) ran and ran until she saw the outside of the forest. She slowly stopped running and stood there for a moment, watching the children playing around and running through the grass. She stood there in silence watching them from afar. She felt her eyes watering from the thought of losing her family. "They don't deserve this..." (Y/N)'s face slowly turns into a sad one. (Y/N) quickly wiped the tears off and ran quickly towards the house.
"(Y/N)?" Gilda called, stopping her from running. (Y/N) stopped and looked at her. (Y/N) had a sad face on and was not in the mood to talk to anybody. "Y-Yes, Gilda?" "Did something happen back there? You seem ...sad? Is everything ok?" Gilda said in a worried tone. (Y/N) was aware that Gilda is in the group, too but (Y/N) doesn't know whether to say it to her or not. "It's nothing. Thank you for asking. I'm going to head to my dorm to sleep, see ya." (Y/N) quickly turned and headed to the house, not giving time for Gilda to ask if she wanted to talk.
