8|Mother, Daughter

I snuggle closer to the warmth, trying to go back to sleep until I feel someone stroke my hair, making me open my eyes and sit up in bed. I look over to see Lauren smiling up at me. "Ren?"

"Good morning, baby girl."

"W-what are you doing h-here."

"Liv were you scared."

"No"

"Look at me" she grabbed my face making me look at her. "Why were you scared."

"I-I wasn't"

"Don't lie" my lip began to quiver; she lifted me, sitting me on her lap before laying down again with me on top of her. "You don't have to be scared to tell me, but if you're not ready to tell me, then I'll wait."

"No matter what."

"No matter what," she said, caressing my cheek.

"W-when I left, I had harry and Amanda, but they have already done so much for me, and I couldn't ask them for anything else I didn't want to burden them. Anyway, I just gave birth to logan, and Cecelia watched her as I trained; she was so attached to me that I wouldn't let go anywhere without her by my side. But as I trained, I smelled something bad and asked Cece to watch logan while I went to check it out. I ran into the woods, searching for the smell, but it was a trap. I was ambushed, by a guy who knocked me out cold. When I woke up, I was in a dark cell. I had no idea where exactly I was, but I knew I had to get out. I couldn't let logan think her mama abandoned her. But I didn't know how they tortured me every day trying to get answers out of me, but I wouldn't talk, so it was useless; this went on for weeks until I snapped. Those fuckers were stupid; they didn't know how to fight, and they didn't know I was a hybrid s so I killed them, all of them I didn't leave any of them alive I had to if I didn't, they would come after you."

"What?"

"They asked me about you, but I told them I didn't know who you were, but they didn't stop no matter what. I'm certain they were working for someone. Still, I don't know who; after finding my way back to logan and Cece, I wasn't the same I got colder and more distant it got even worse when I became queen; any rouges who crossed my path would die. I didn't care who it was until I met Harry and his wife. I spared them their like family, but I still don't like the way their daughter treats logan."

"Baby, I would never hurt you. I will always protect you. I don't care if I have to die so that you will live, then I'll do it your mine, mine to touch, mine to protect, and mine to love"

I played with her hair, trying to calm myself down; being this close to her always clams me. I buried my face in her neck, inhaling her scent with my hand in her hand. I close my eyes feeling tired, and let the darkness consume me.

I woke up to Ren caressing my cheek. I open my eyes, rubbing the sleep out of my eyes before looking at Ren, who was already staring at me.

"Hi, pretty girl."

"Hi," I said, burying my face back in her neck

"Love?"

"Hm"

"I need you to get up. I'm taking you out."

"No," I said, pouting.

"Baby," she said, chuckling, "You don't want to go out with me."

"I do."

"Then you have to get up."

"Fine," I said, pouting, looking at her with puppy dog eyes

"baby girl, don't do that," she says, looking away, trying not to give in; she looks at me, sighing

"What's wrong."
