Chapter 14:Fighting for freedom

Clarisse pov

Jackson better not sneak off without me tonight. If he does, I will kill him. The day was pretty boring but I could tell percy was extra fidgety in class. It was dinner and we were all sitting at the end of the Gryffindor table. "Percy you okay?" Claire asked. "Yeah why" He answered. "You've been really quiet today and your ADHD is acting up a lot more than usual." She answered "im fine just bored" he answered. I noticed Nico was watching Percy. Everytime i looked at Nico throughout the day he was watching Percy. Dinner went by quickly with little talking from Percy or me. Nico continued watching both of us but no one else seemed to notice.

Finally it was midnight and everyone else was in their rooms, asleep. I got up out of bed and grabbed the duffel bag that was sitting on my desk. I took a deep breath and walked out. Percy walked out of his room at the same time. "You ready?" he whispered. "Pf I was born ready, Prissy" I scoffed. He rolled his eyes. "Come on, let's go before anyone wakes up." he said. We walked out of the common room, both of us holding our bags.

We walked through the halls, sneaking past teachers and prefects that were patrolling. Finally we made it outside. "IRIS!" I called once we were in the forest. She popped up in front of us. "What do you need Clarisse?" She asked. "I'm cashing in my favor." I said. She straightened up and asked, "What is it?" "We need you to stop all Iris messages from seeing or hearing us unless we want them to." I answered. She nodded and glanced at our bags. "Running away?" She asked. "No. Were going to save Thalia, Annabeth and Leo" Percy jumped in. Her face turned grim. "Be safe, demigods. This won't be an easy journey" She said. "Never thought it would be." Percyc mumbled under his breath after she flashed away. "Let's do this," I said and we ran into the forest.

We ran for a couple hours, not talking. We ran into a couple monsters but we killed them all.

Finally we could see the sun coming up as we ran into a small clearing. "Think we're far enough away?" Percy asked. I turned around and climbed a tree. "I can't see the castle so I'd say yes" I said as I jumped down. He nodded and set his pack down. He pulled out a bottle of nectar and some food. He handed me the bottle and I took a sip then handed it back. I immediately felt better. The few cuts and bruises I had healed and I had more energy. Then I grabbed a protein shake and a bar out of his pile of food.

Once i finished eating I stood up and said, "Let's go, Prissy." He looked up at me and sighed. "Fine" He got up and repacked all the food.

Finally he was ready so we turned and ran farther into the forest.

Hazel woke up to someone yelling. She blinked and sat up. The yelling was coming from the common room. "BLUE FOOD" She heard Piper yell. Hazel shook her head and got up. She got dressed and walked out into the common room.

Hazel looked around and saw Piper, Frank, Jason, Nico, Claire, Lily, and Blake. She sighed as she looked at the people standing around her. They had lost three important people from their team. "Wait a second where's Clarisse and Percy?" Lily asked. "That's the thing. They're gone." Piper answered.

Nico, who had been half asleep and staring groggily at the ground, snapped his head up. "What?" He asked. "I woke up and I was going to see if Clarisse wanted to spar but she wasn't there. I checked the training room and she wasn't there either. So I went to ask Percy if he knew where she was, but he was gone too. I found this on his desk." Piper said, holding up an envelope. "Let me see it," He demanded.

She handed the envelope to him and he practically ripped the piece of paper out. He opened it and we watched as his eyes scanned the paper.

"I knew he would do this!" He yelled slamming the paper on the table. "Do what?" jason asked. "Leave," Nico answered. Claire grabbed the paper on the table and began to read
