Images were flashing before your eyes, making you relive the events you had been through. Seamonsters scratching your skin. Your family being pulled away from you. Ares his laugh filling the hallways of the palace.

Thor walked into the medical wing where Loki was healing the wounds of the girl with his powers. "How is she?" Thor asked. "She's still asleep, but she seems stable and I managed to heal her cuts and bruises," Loki replied. They sat down next to each other, both keeping an eye on the girl.
"Did the others find out anything?" Loki asked his brother.
"They checked facial recognition and stuff to see if they could find at least a name but it seems like she doesn't even exist."
"Well, I guess I could have a look in her memories but that's quite intrusive. I'm sure she'll wake up soon so we can ask her."
"Well, you didn't seem to have a problem with that back at Sakaar."
"You know brother, for someone that preached to Odin that we should forget the past, you do talk an awful lot about it."
"I just don't want you to make the same mistakes Loki and I know there is something you're not telling us. This isn't your illusion or something is it?"
"No, it isn't Thor! but yes... there's something..." Loki sighed before he continued. "Before she came out of the water it looked like she had a tail... that changed into legs..."
"What... are you saying she is a... mermaid?"
"Maybe... it would explain why she came out of the river instead of just walking through the front door." He looked to the side and saw that his brother had a puzzled look on his face. "You still don't trust me do you?"
"Well, you have a certain reputation!"
Loki looked away annoyed, not in the mood to turn this conversation into a fight right now. He thought about his words carefully but got cut off when he wanted to reply by the girl starting to stir in her sleep. The two boys immediately rushed to the side of the bed. "What's going on?" Thor asked. "I think she's having a nightmare," Loki said. He gently started shaking your shoulders a little while Thor called the team. "Hey it's okay... it's okay... just wake up... it's okay... ".

You suddenly shot wide awake and saw a lot of either curious or concerned eyes staring at you. You slowly calmed down when you realised who those eyes belonged to. "Hey... how are you feeling?" Steve asked you who was standing on one side of your bed. You opened your mouth to reply but no sound came out. You frowned as you remembered that your voice got stolen. Everyone looked confused when you started frantically mounting words as you pointed at your throat. "Hold on..." Loki who was standing on the other side grabbed some paper and a pen from the stack of books he was studying and handed it to you so you could write down what you wanted to say. You quickly scribbled down some words and handed the paper to Steve. "'I'm alright for now but I need your help'... what do you need help with?" You handed him another paper. "'My family is being held captive. They are in a lot of danger and so are you.'" Everybody gave each other concerned looks before Steve spoke up again. "Can you write down everything in detail so we can understand the situation exactly?" You nodded before writing the next note. "'It's a long story so it will take a bit of time.'".
"How about we start with your name," Loki said.
[My name is y/n]
"It is a pleasure to meet you y/n and how old are you?"
[983]
"... Where are you from?"
[Atlantis]
