Chōko's driver takes us to a fancy upscale shopping district. She grabs my hand and pulls me out of the car, "Come on, we're gonna find you the perfect wedding dress!" She hooks her arm with mine and says, "I know the perfect shop, you are going to look gorgeous on your big day."
I follow her into a lavish dress shop; all around me is a sea of white dresses and kimonos. Chōko has already set to getting the store clerks to bring us an array of choices. Watching her interact with the store clerks, has made me realize how much of a commanding presence both her and her brother have. It goes beyond the power of their family, it's also their charisma and how they're able to grab and hold your attention captive. It's a skill I can never hope to have...
"Takara do you have any preferences with your dress?" She turns her attention onto me.
I'd like to wear long gown and maybe some lacy design. Like a jellyfish. I sign to her.
"Bring out some dresses with a long train and lace." She orders the store clerk before turning her attention back onto me, "So I was wondering how my brother has been treating you? Has he been good to you? I know he can be quite a lot to deal with."
I think back on the past couple of days; he's certainly odd but also kind. But sometimes he says or does things that have left me wondering what it is that he actually wants with me.
He's weird but kind, although I wish I knew what he was thinking. I answer her concerns.
"Yeah that sounds about right." She laughs a little at this, "Honestly no one really knows what that weirdo is thinking. But I still have to ask something a little selfish and maybe even inconvenient, so feel free to turn me down."
Sure I don't mind, go right ahead and tell me.
"Ok...I was wondering if you could look out for my brother. He's strong and one of the most powerful sorcerers to ever exist...but he's also lonely being in that position. All I ask is that you could be there as an emotional pillar of strength for him. But again if that's too much feel free to say no." She averts her gaze from me.
I place a hand on her shoulder to get her attention before signing, You and your brother are going to become my family. Even if the reason we are becoming family is a political one, I'd still like it if we could actually be a real family and help one another out.
She hugs onto me, "Thank you...but also feel free to tell that cad off if you need to."
I sign to her, He hasn't been that bad.
"Anyways, let's try on dresses! We've got the entire store to wait on you." In a flash racks of elegant white dresses are brought out for me to admire. My fingers glide across the sea of white lace. "You're gonna look so perfect, my brother won't know what to do with himself!" She proudly declares as she helps me look through my choice of dresses.

We finished paying for my wedding dress and now we're just shopping along the Harajuku strip. Suddenly someone covers my eyes with their hands.
"Guess who~" I hear Satoru say.
Satoru. I sign immediately to him.
He takes his hands away and spins me around, "Correct." He smiles at me boyishly.
Why're you here? And where's your sister?
"Oh I sent her home, and I came here because I missed my beautiful fiancé." He wraps his arms around me in a loose embrace. His eyes go to the box I'm holding, "Is that the wedding dress?" I nod. "Can I see it?" I shake my head. "Aw why?" He pouts childishly at me.
Because I promised your sister you wouldn't see it until the big day. She said something about it being unlucky for the groom to see the bride's dress before the wedding. I inform him.
"You really won't show me?" He asks again; to which I nod fervently. Suddenly his pout turns to a smirk once he notices the bathing suit I'm holding. "Will I get to see you in that sometime soon?" I nod and his eyes start go alight with mischief, "Can I get just a little preview?" I shake my head. "Why not?"
Your sister also told me that it's bad luck for the groom to see me in my bathing suit before going to Miyajima.
"That little smart ass..." As quickly as his mood soured, he's back to his strange self. "Did she also tell you that it's good luck to wear your fiancé's shirt to bed?" I shake my head, "Oh she didn't? Then I guess I could lend you one of my shirts as pajamas so we can have a smooth wedding."
I smile a little at his consideration for our wedding, Thanks, you're so thoughtful. His pale cheeks tint red and I have to ask, Are you coming down with a summer cold? Your cheeks are red again.
He avoids my gaze, "Yeah, don't worry. The sun just burns the crap out of me. Uh let's go home."
In a flash we're in his room; I look around unsure of what just happened. Suddenly it hit me, Was that infinity just now?
"Close, it's a specialized form called limitless. You seem to know your stuff." He comments as he watches me put away the box holding my wedding dress.
I turn to him to explain, My mother made sure to drill my brother and I about the different clans and their inherited abilities. She must have planned for us to return one day. I just didn't think it'd be without her.
"Ya know, I'm a little curious about your cursed abilities."
Mine? I ask feeling slightly confused.
"Yeah, I've never seen it for myself. The Kubo clan are very private, even by Jujutsu Clan standards." Suddenly his eyes light up in that way when a whim suddenly strikes him. "How about I bring you along with me tonight on a mission? Think of it like a date."
Sure, sounds like fun.
