I haven't moved from the chair in our room for over an hour. All I can do is stare at the wall as I quickly lose myself to sorrow and anger at my current situation. Oki is dead, the culprit is my aunt and it would seem that she had a hand in my mother's death. All I want to do is turn into a snake and barrel through the forest to go find the woman responsible.

"Takara." I look over to see Satoru returned from the hot springs, "You're in the same spot."

I look away from him, unsure of what I can even say at the moment. Just when I think I'm about to sink deeper into despair, he's right there in front of me; his azure eyes dim with concern. He takes my hand in his and brings it to his warm cheek, "Please say something..."

His warmth is enough to dissipate my ice cold hatred and make me realize that I still have people and things worth protecting. I get up from my chair and wrap my arms around him. Satoru envelopes me so completely with his arms. After a couple moments I pull away from him and ask, Why is she doing this? I haven't done anything to her.

"Honestly I can't say I understand either. She was banished from your father's family and no one publicly knows why. But I submitted a request to Yaga to send me any documents related to Fuyuko's banishment."

I'm going to kill her and no one better try to stop me.

"Don't worry, the higher ups gave the green light for killing the curse user so no one's gonna try to stop you."

Good, I would kill them if they tried to get in my way. My anger is still burning within me and I'm scared of what it's going to do to me.

"Get in line love, I also want to kill those bastards. But we can't...since it'd only complicate what I'm trying to do currently for my students."

I feel like I'm being eaten alive by my hatred.

"Takara, I'm going to be extremely selfish and ask for a favor. Please promise me you won't go down the same road as Suguru. I want to have a future with you, just please don't leave me alone."

I remember how lonely Satoru always seemed to me in our childhood. He had only moments of freedom when he got to be with Sugu and I. But whenever I saw him from afar he looked untouchable and out of reach. He clings onto those he cherishes with all his might out of fear of being alone at the top of the world.

You won't ever be alone again, I swear.

He takes my hand and kisses my palm, "Thank you..."

For the rest of the night we holds each other in silence as we try to force ourselves to sleep.

The following morning, Atuy, Chiko and I meet up in my room to discuss how we're going to exact our revenge. Atuy is the first to ask, How do you two want to do this?

I want her to suffer. Chiko plainly answers.

A tap on the roof resounds around us as more taps accompany it; signifying a storm brewing. I want to take her inside of my innate domain and burn her alive just like Kiyohime did to Anchin. I inform both men.

Then let me strike the first blow against her. My brother negotiates.

That's fine by me, how about you Atuy? I ask the man who once loved my mother so completely.

She's your mom, I only wish to be there to back you both up. He answers simply.

A light knock at the door startles my brother and I; the door opens to reveal Satoru, "Are you guys ready? Maki's team needs some help with looking for the safest route to where I found the camp, can one of you do that?"

My brother stands up, "Sure I don't mind, where're they?"

"Out in the van." My brother leaves with Atuy following close behind; leaving me and Satoru alone in the room. He approaches me and gently places his palm against my cheek. "Are you ready?" I place my hand on top of his before nodding with determination. "Good...this morning I received the report and you might want to read it."

He hands me his laptop and watches me as I read the details of why my aunt got disowned from her clan. The report is nothing short of deranged. My aunt and father had been exposed for having an illicit affair while he was betrothed to my mother. The entire affair was handled silently and away from most prying eyes. The person who provided this information to Yaga was an unidentified family member who recalls that Fuyuko always had an intense jealousy regarding my mother and that it was an open secret within the family until the head discovered it. I nearly drop the laptop as I stare blankly at Satoru.

"I know, it's some pretty fucked up shit. I'm almost impressed with how well this tiny insignificant clan was able to hide something that big."

I place the laptop down on the bed before putting my face in my hands out of utter exasperation. There were no words that could properly convey the disgust I am feeling towards not only my aunt but also my father. The idea of a sister being romantically involved with her brother is so insane to me that I am left speechless at this information.

I finally look up at Satoru and sign, I don't know what to say. This is insane.

"Yeah I was left speechless too when I received that email from Yaga this morning."

My mother didn't even want to be in the damn marriage to begin with! And nobody bothered to inform my mom about what she was getting into?! Fuck that family! It's rare for me to get this worked up, but that family has continually screwed over mine. The first thing I am doing when we get back to Tokyo is disowning my father's side of the family. They will cease receiving any financial aid or help of any kind from the Kubo clan. This ends here.

Satoru wraps around my waist, "Ya know, you're sexy when you get angry and vengeful~"

I stare at him blankly for a moment unsure of how to respond. I pull away and sign, I'm ready, let's go.

He gives me his recklessly charming smile and wraps his arm around my waist as we leave to face the fight ahead of us.
