Me and Casey marched right into first hour! It was kind of great having a friend by my side, it made me feel like I wasn't alone. But of course Ella still existed.... I kind of hate her for no reason.
"Wow, I see you made friends with the new "sheep" that is attending here." Of course people like her were still going to be a butt to me, even though people like me now.
"Don't call her that." I spat at Ella, if Casey was going to turn out to be my first friend ever I needed to defend her. She doesn't have a fair chance in a fight, she's human. I thought.
"The sheep part or the friend part?" Ella said with a stupid smile. (Man I hate these people's stupid smiles)!
"The sheep part." I said, my confidence boosting when I saw Casey smile.
"It's an old term, that doesn't apply anymore. So you shouldn't be using it."
"Really? I thought you would be the type of person to not care!" Ella replied, scrunching her freckled face.
"Guess making a friend has made you soft."

That WASN'T fair!
"Do want to test that?" I snapped.
"Oh, no I wouldn't want to pick a fight with you since-."
"Since now the whole school is gocking over me?" I said slyly. Ella's face went bright red.
"How do you know that?" She hissed, going yet reder as she spoke. Well I herd it from the principal, and it turns out that my MAYBE friend is secretly famous on social media, and she did me a favor by making me popular. I thought matter of factly, but I couldn't say that.
"It doesn't matter how I herd it!" I said hoping my tone wouldn't prolong the discussion. Ella opened her mouth to say something but the teacher walked in, and we all turned to the front as if nothing happened.

I had to tackle math alone and with that jerk that I sit next too. But this time... to my surprise he was silent. Thank god. With nothing to do for the period, I overviewed how complicated my life has gotten since the start of the school year. I'm attending a public school, I am dealing with three bullies (all annoying in their own way), almost everyone at school is cool with me now (still can't believe that), and my MAYBE friend is a secret celebrity on social media and she is human and she is responsible for me being NOT hated anymore. Wow. Things escalated quickly. Before I knew it class was over and THIS time for lunch I had someone to sit with, WIN!

Me and Casey sat at a lunch table and talked the whole time about our pasts. Apparently Casey grew up with a pretty normal human life, except for the fact that her parents were divorced. She said she used to have a cat like me, but it passed away just before her parents split up. She also apparently took a course in speaking cat. Yep, you herd me right she can speak CAT!
"Hey I hear about this whole "Alpha" thing at school." Casey said suddenly.
"Do you know what that's all about?" I shrugged.
"A school of werewolves is considered a "pack", each pack or school has an alpha (so does ours), the alpha's chosen are males and are mostly seniors, if the male alpha is single sometime in his alpha carrier he is supposed to chose an alpha female. But the girl had to agree, the alpha male can't force a girl to be the alpha female, if he does he'll get arrested."
I said, trying to get the info all out so I didn't have to continue talking about it. Casey looked a little white.
"Wow. That's so complicated." She said with her eyes closed. Oh you don't even know. I thought starring up at the ceiling.
"Do you know who is OUR alpha?" Casey asked.
"You mean the SCHOOL'S alpha not ours." I said frowning at her.
"What."
"First of all your a human, no one needs to be your alpha. Your pretty much free. Second of all, NO ONE is the alpha of ME! I'm the "lone wolf" no one commands me!"
"Your not a lone wolf." Casey said. I tilted my head at her. What does that mean? I'm the lone wolf, always have been.
"You have me." Carey continued. Does that me she's my friend? I shimmer of joy speed through me at the thought of my first friend.

"But to answer your question: you know that guy Wyatt?"
"Oh how could I forget!" Casey said looking disgusted.
"Well turns out its him." I said, clenching my jaw.
"Your kidding." Casey replied, she looked like she was going to barf.
"Nope." I grimaced.
"Hey maybe I could come over to your house tonight?" Casey asked, Hope flooding her eyes.
"Uh, I don't know." I said. This was my first friend, it's not like I've done this a million times. Plus, I don't know how mom will react. Who am I kidding? She'll be thrilled. But there was still some uncertainty in my stomach about having a friend over for the first time. But as Casey looked up at me, her eyes had some sort of sparkle to them that made her look so hopeful and wild. That I could not resist. (Hey! I would like to see YOU say no to that!)
"Well... alright." I said and was rewarded with a joyous smile from Casey.
"Oh! It'll be so fun she said." She said and started rambling on about all the things we could do. I didn't really listen I just starred out the window. And for once my life didn't feel like a complete trashball.

We walked together from school over to my house. I was preparing myself for how excited mom was going to be. As we came up to my front door I stopped Casey.
"Ok, just a little warning. My parents have ALWAYS wanted me to make a friend and now I've finally got one- you. So the might flip out or something." I said my voice hurrying.
"It's ok!" Casey said.
"You don't think my parents do that too?" I nudged her as d we walked inside to where my parents were waiting for me.
"Hey honey!" Mom said casually, but then she noticed Casey next to me.
"Whose this?" Mom's eyes kept darting from me to Casey to her earless head and back to me repeatedly.

" Mom this is Casey." I tried to keep my voice neutral but for some reason it was coming out horse.
"She just transferred her and principal Tyler wanted me to be some company for her and now we're friends." I deliberately left out the part with Wyatt. I didn't really want my parents to worry if I was at risk of being hurt by him. I mean they don't know he slapped me. But I'm sure they would freak out.
"Oh! That's wonderful!" Mom said her face all lit up.
"You girls can go upstairs to Diana's room and I'll get you some snacks!" Casey and I marched upstairs but I stole a glance behind me and saw mom doing some sort of happy-dance. What was she doing? ;)
As soon as I stepped into my room, Lyla ran up to me and started meowing rapidly.
"Wow, apparently you cat has worked on some long speech on how she should get food more often." Casey said staring at the cat looking faint. Right, I forgot she could speak cat.
"Nothing new for me." I declared. Casey and I talked through the night, and I was so happy to have someone next to me. But as always what goes up (well) must come down (bad).
