14 Days Until Prom
"Don't turn around, but Ella's following us." Robie said to me the next day as we were walking to class.
"What the F*** is she doing?" I hissed to Robie.
"I don't know. Maybe she's just wondering why you and I are walking together." Robie shrugged.
"Well, maybe she could get the vibe that we're friends now and that I'm in a PARTICULARLY murderus mood today. Wise up. And go bother someone else." I growled, Robie nodded.
"Why are you in a murserus mood?" She asked as we rounded a corner. I shrugged.
"Sometimes I just feel extra mad at the world and vengeful." I replied. Robie nodded again. We both looked behind us but Ella had disappeared somewhere. I frowned.
"FREAKY!" Robie declared.
"What was THAT all about?" I wondered aloud. Robie shrugged and we sat out butts in first hour. What could Ella be plotting? I wondered. Especially now that she doesn't have Robie to help? Well jokes on her because now Robies on MY side now! WE'LL SEE WHOSE LAUGHING AT THE END OF THIS!
"So, do you want me to come over tonight?" Robie asked from  my left.
"I mean. You said it yourself: Your friend Casey is on VK and Ash is pretty much ignoring you. So why not hang with your new friend?"
"I don't think that's a good idea." I said finally. Robie raised her eyebrows.
"Why not?" I hesitated.
"Can you keep a secret?"
"Of course I can!" Robie answered. Should I be telling her this? Oh! She basically has my trust so whatever I guess.
"My parents have been fighting a lot." I started. Robie put her hand to her mouth, but then lowered it again.
"How much?" She asked.
"Almost every night." I replied staring at the floor.

"Diana, that's horrible!" Robie said.
"Hm." I said.
"Well if you don't want to hang at your house you can totally hang at mine!" She offered enthusiastically. That could be nice. I thought. It would be a chance to get away from my parents.
"Alright." I said and Robie clapped her hands together. The rest of the day however, me and Robie kept seeing Ella collect a bunch of unusual things. Like in the lunch line me and Robie saw Ella take like 20 packs of mustard! (I HATE that stuff). The lunch ladies noticed it too because they scoffed at Ella as she went to check out. But when she sat down a little bit of a ways from us she didn't USE ANY OF IT!
"But why though?" I kept saying as I watched Ella NOT use any of her mustard pallets.
"That is SO strange!" Robie said next to me, also looking back at Ella.
"Why buy mustard if you're not gonna use it?"
"Do you think it's part of her plot?" I asked, them resized what I just said. Shit.
"How do YOU know Ella's plotting something against you!" Robie snapped. Robie didn't know I had overheard her and Ella talking about Ella's plot that one time.
"Well, I may or may not have herd you and Ella talking about it one time." I tried, placing my words carefully.
"Oh!" Robie said smiling. Thank goodness she doesn't care. I thought.
"Speaking of which. YOU should know what Ella is plotting." I stated.
"I DID." Robie started.
"But Ella's not dumb. After yesterday she could have changed the plan, so I couldn't tattle to you." Damit she's right! I cursed.
"We just need to be careful." I prompted.
"And watch what she's doing VERY closely." We didn't see Ella do much for the rest of the day, other than whisper very suspiciously to what's left of her friend group. But then again, I think everything's suspicious. Hanging out at Robie's house was a blast! I didn't want to go home! We played video games watched TV and and had a dance party! It was late when Robie actually convinced me to let her tell her single mom about my parents fighting. And it actually worked out. Robie's mom felt so bad for me she said I could start sleeping at Robie's house! Score! She just said I had to stay at my parents house for at least three days a week in case anything changed. She even let me sleep over tonight even though I don't have my stuff!

I just slept in my clothes and Robie's mom called my mom to tell her I was going to be staying over a lot. Robie's mom sounded like she wasn't going to let my parents spoil this, like she acted like she was just letting them know and that there was no changing the plans. I couldn't be more greatful for what the little place of shelter Robie's home could be. Maybe things are going to start getting better.
