Prologue- Candice Avalon

Four years ago....

"Dad?" I shouted as I entered my house with my boyfriend, Tyler.

Tyler's been there for me when my father wasn't. Tyler was always there. I wonder what I would do without him.

I looked around the living room when I heard no reply.

"Candice...." I heard Tyler whisper and before I knew it, I was thrown to the side and fell to the floor.

I gasped at the sudden pain on my left shoulder where I landed on. I was about to scold Tyler, but when I looked up, he was no longer there.

When I heard a grunt my head followed the sound and I saw Tyler lying down on the floor with blood.

My eyes widened as I crawled over to him.

What I saw flashed before my eyes before tears blurred my vision. I placed his head on my lap and rubbed his head murmuring comforting words to him as he weakly smiled at me.

A knife.... stabbed like it was thrown on his shoulder.

Blood... it was all over the floor.

His blood... I knew it was his, who else would it belong to?

My dad.... the one that caused all this.

My sorry excuse of a father was staring at us with a smug look.

It all happened so fast...

That was the time my life changed forever.

And I knew that it would never be the same ever again.

Well, this is just the Prologue and it's already mysterious.
