Chapter 2- Candice Avalon
He's here.
But, he can't.
It can't be him.
I was still frozen when I heard the door open.
"Tyler!" Penny cried, hugging him.
"Hey Pen." He greeted.
I kept my gaze downwards. Why is he here?
They continued talking, but I zoned out, drowning in my own thoughts.
Please don't see me. Please don't see me. Please--.
"Oh! Ty, these are my new patients," Her cheerful tone just made me want to vomit.
Oh, dang it.
"Penny, as much as I would want to meet your patients, I need to go."
Yes! Leave. Go on! Shoo! Leave!
"Wait! Five minutes, don't tell me you don't have time for your big sister."
Wait, what?
He has a sister? An older sister? When did that happen?
"Okay, fine. But five minutes." He sighed.
No. No! Hell no! Go away!
"Yay! This is Cassandra, Camille, Cameryn and--" Penny pointed to the three girls and then...
"Candice?" Tyler whispered.
I shut my eyes tightly.
This has to be a dream. I wasn't ever going to meet him again. I never wanted to see him again. I didn't want to talk to him again. I was too scared.
I forced myself to look up and I regret doing it.
His blue eyes showed only one emotion; hurt. He still looked the same, blonde hair, nice body, and he still wears the bracelet I gave him for Christmas.
That made me want to cry even more.
"Candice? Candice Avalon? Candy Baby?" Tyler went over to me to cup my cheeks with his hands.
That small action still causes butterflies to erupt.
I am such a girl.
"Don't call me that," I merely whispered.
It hurts. It still hurts. All these years, I thought I can move on. I kept on trying, but I couldn't. It's always because of him.
"Oh. Um, do you guys know each other?" Penny stupidly asked.
Is she stupid? Or is she not?
Tyler inhaled deeply and removed his hands from my cheeks.
I turned to my left and jumped when I saw three girls sitting beside me and they were all staring intently at me.
"The sexual tension though. It's so... suffocating." Cassandra smirked.
"Shut. Your. Mouth." I gritted my teeth.
There was awkward silence for a moment before a ringtone broke it.
'I wish that I can wake up with amnesia, and forget about the stupid little things, like the way it felt to fall asleep--'
"Hello?" Tyler answered his phone with a very red face.
"No, I'm with Penny..... No, dad.... I. Am. Not...... Well, you can kiss my freaking ass!" He angrily hung up.
Tyler and his dad has a very... complicated relationship.
"Wow Tyler, if you wanted amnesia you could've just told me." Penny chuckled.
"Shut up, Penny." He growled.
I heard the girls giggle. When I looked at them with a frown, they all just smiled at me.
"Listen, Tyler, as much as I love you, I need to go to work." Penny said pointing to us.
First the girl says to stay and now she's telling him to leave.
What?
"Candice, why are you here?" Tyler said looking straight into my eyes.
His eyes were so blue. They were so mesmerizing.
"Problems." I muttered and his frown deepened and he furrowed his eyebrows and cocked his head to the side.
He looked like a lost puppy. It was the cutest thing ever..... Wait, what am I talking about?
We just continued to stare at each other.
Tyler sighed and turned to his so-called sister.
He knew he wouldn't get anything out of me.
"Dad wants me to go to the office, I just came here to give you these." He held up a shopping bag.
"Thanks." Penny smiled as Tyler left.
He turned his head and offered me a quick smile before he went out of the clinic.
The tension was suffocating.
"Wow, that was hot." Cassandra stated, looking at me, "Care to share?"
"No." I narrowed my eyes at her.
She's so nosy. What is her problem?
"Let's get started now, shall we?"
Yay! Please note my sarcasm.
