Chapter 11- Candice Avalon
"So guys, how was your week?" Penny asked with the therapist voice.
"Fine."
"Freaking fantastic."
"Boring."
"Weird."
We all turned to stare at Camilla who was staring straight ahead.
Penny nodded and wrote something down, "Why was it weird Camilla?"
Camilla sighed and shared a knowing look with Penny.
"You know because of my... you know what. Like, I got mad a t my brother for no reason."
I looked at her curiously.
She always seemed like the normal one out of all of us. And when she hesitated on whether or not telling us what 'you know what' was, it made her even more suspiscious.
Penny hummed thoughtfully and looked at her dead in the eye. "Have you been taking your... you know what?"
"Yeah." Camilla nodded thoughtfully.
I furrowed my eyebrows as the two started talking more. But as for Cameryn, a look of realization flashed through her face.
Speaking of Cameryn... the police haven't caught the suspect that tried to strangle her. She was released from the hospital just three days ago.
"So, what are the good things that happened to you this week? Starting with... You, Cassie." Penny pointed at Cassandra who perked up from a magazine she was reading when she heard her name.
"Oh... Um, well... My mom gave me a new car." She smiled happily.
Aw, well lucky her!
Penny smiled, "That's nice of your mom!"
Cassandra nodded eagerly.
Penny pointed at Cameryn next.
"Well, I was released from the hospital. And my dog gave birth to these cute little pups." Cameryn exclaimed gleefully.
"That's nice!" Penny exclaimed as she pointed at Camilla.
Camilla gave her a flat look, "What do you not get when I said my week was weird? It was bad." She glared at our therapist who just kept her calm demeanor.
"Okay." Penny nodded and turned to me.
I sighed and looked at her carefully. "I... finished reading one book?"
They all stared at me for a moment before Penny nodded.
"That's nice." I don't know if that was sarcasm or not.
I just gave her a small smile and shrugged.
My life is so boring!
Suddenly, we heard a small 'thud' and a curse.
"Ouch! Oh, crap!" A familiar voice hissed from outside the clinic.
Penny rolled her eyes, "What do you want, Tyler?" She shouted.
The door opened and my ex- boyfriend stepped inside the room.
"You really need to move those cabinets far from the door." He pouted, rubbing his knee.
Penny chuckled, raising an eyebrow at him. "What exactly do you want?" She repeated.
As if he hadn't noticed that his sister had patients, he yelped when he saw four girls seated on bean bags.
