6:44 p.m. | Yongin-Seoul Expressway

Yeosang's heart is pounding hard as if it was trying to burst out of his chest. Nothing in his life up to this point can match the amount of nervousness and worry he's feeling right now. After the strange call, he told his parents; Ahyeon called Yubin while Sangyeob got the car ready. Yeosang took his skateboard, a gut feeling told him he'll need it. While waiting for his mom to get in the car, Yeosang tried to call Seonghwa again, but it was Eunkwang who answered him.

The medic told him that Seonghwa has been bought into the operating room, but assured him that he'll be fine. He didn't tell his parents about this, they're already panicky enough. Yeosang somehow managed to remain calm on the outside but he's going crazy in his head.

When Ahyeon got in the car, she told them that she also called Tian Zhi Tea House, where Seonghwa was supposed to be at. According to Elkie's grandmother, none of the students went there. Yubin told them that Seonghwa told her that Hyunggu somehow convinced the group to explore the abandoned veterinary clinic near the tea house. That contradicts everything he told the Kangs.

Their parents would never allow Seonghwa to go there even if he was with Hyunggu, though knowing kids these days, they're willing to lie to their parents just to 'have fun'. When they got in trouble, Seonghwa speed-dialed Yubin's number and told her where they are. He also begged Yubin not to tell his parents cause he doesn't want to get scolded.

Yeosang almost laughed at how Ahyeon was scolding Seonghwa through Yubin.

The Polaris agent told them that she sent an ambulance from Naraolla Hospital to their location and also contacted the families of the other students. As far as they know, Seonghwa and 3 other students are injured while 2 are dead. They don't know exactly what went down, but the fact that 2 died means it must be something terrible.

Thankfully, there's not much traffic en route to Yongin and the drive is smooth.

Or as smooth as it was for the Kangs. Ahyeon is having a bit of a breakdown. She already lost one biological child, so she's probably having flashbacks to that day. Sangyeob is trying to stay calm while driving, but he keeps looking at his phone, which is mounted on the car. Yeosang himself is fidgeting in the backseat, itching for the car to go faster but to not get into an accident.

A few minutes later, Yongin is finally within sight, but that's when it got worse.

The GPS on Sangyeob's phone beeps, and it shows them that there's been a massive 8-vehicle accident, and the alternative route is going to take them another 45 minutes. Naraolla Hospital should just be 15 minutes away. They can't afford to spend hours waiting for the road to be cleared, so Sangyeob takes the other road.

Which is unfortunately congested with all the cars taking the same route. To make it worse, they're low on fuel, so they had to make a quick pit stop. If that wasn't bad enough, the nearest gas station is running some kind of price cut promo and lots of people are having their vehicles refueled there, so the Kangs have to wait in line.

Yeosang has had enough.

"I'm going on ahead." he announced, clutching his skateboard and opening the door while they were stopped in line.

"Wait... Yeosang?" Ahyeon turns in her seat, but Yeosang is already gone. "Yeosang?! What the..."

Before Ahyeon can run after him, Sangyeob stops her. "Just... leave him be. He knows what he's doing."

"Are you crazy?! What if he gets hit by a car while skating?!" Ahyeon screeches.

"I trust Yeosang isn't dumb enough to skate in the middle of the road." Sangyeob says simply.
