The Assassin of the Hidden Mist (Part I)

A/N: After this chapter, I will be more focusing on Y/N's POV. I may stray away from the original plot so please bare with me. Thank you for understanding!

As the band of Y/N and his team alongside Tazuna was making their way to the hidden mist on a motorboat, problem is that a thick fog was covering their line of sight, but in Y/N's case, he doesn't bother it as he was deep in thought of their situation as of now. 

Y/N: This mission isn't a C rank. I have done a lot of them in the past, but this mission isn't one. My best bet, this simple mission.

He paused as he looked at the rest of his team, being occupied from earlier was nothing short of an intimidating thing in being a ninja.

Y/N: This mission is an A rank and Tazuna's life is now sitting in the palms of our hands.

He let out a small sigh as he was quite frustrated at this point, not wanting to overthink about the situation even more, he decided that from here on out, he would protect his team and their client.

Boater: The bridge should be visible soon. When we reach the side of the bridge, we'll be in the Land of the Waves.

He said as shortly after, an already finished bridge was seen, earning glances and praises from the others. The boater asked them to quiet down or they will be in deep trouble, 3 people from Team 7 quieted down, as for the other 2, they have their suspicions.

Kakashi: Mr. Tazuna.

He said as Tazuna was quiet.

Kakashi: I want to ask you something before we arrive at the pier.

He said as Y/N listened in, not wanting to interrupt the impromptu interrogation as he was still very cautious with the situation.

Tazuna: It appears I have no choice but to tell you. Frankly, I'd like you to listen.

He paused as Y/N could hear his heartbeat pulse in a nervous way.

Tazuna: Just as you said, this may be beyond of your mission. 

Before he could continue, Y/N spoke up.

Y/N: You are being targeted by a terrifying man. Gato is his name, a shipping magnate. One of the richest men alive.

Tazuna: H-How did you know!

Y/N: The unfinished bridge says it all, but please, continue.

He said as his eyes were closed, all ears as he doesn't want to hear questions on how he knew him. Let's just say, he had some close dealings with him in the past.

Tazuna: R-Right. On the surface, he's the chief executive of a shipping company... But underneath, he is into drug trafficking and deals in contraband using gang ninjas. Moreover, he runs a despicable business, ruthlessly taking over nations and enterprises.

He said as Y/N was quiet while the others listened, thinking of how many ways he can kill Gato. He kept on explaining to them what Gato has done in a year and the only thing that stands in his way, was the completion of the bridge.

Y/N: I may not someone that likes a sappy story, but hearing that Gato is the one running things around here makes my time worthwhile. I know Kakashi won't pull out from this mission, he has a bad habit on these kinds of things.

He thought as Tazuna was now playing the guilty card on them as Y/N was not buying it one bit.

Kakashi: Well... I guess we don't have any choice. Let's continue as his bodyguards.

Tazuna: Oh! I am most grateful!

He said as Y/N sighed, feeling sorry that Team 7 would actually continue the mission, then again, they are already here to back out.
